About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Lot's of challenge
All day I kept saying this probably the most difficult course that we play. It's a great track, fair but very challenging. An accurate iron player can score on this tree lined course, the rest of us should expect the course to play long.
The greens were in great shape.
Concessions are hard to come by...BYO lunch.
Good course for a fair price
Fun layout, well maintained, reasonable price. No complaints other than the pace of play, which I expect to be slow on a Sunday afternoon anyway.
Good challenging course
Played slow with high school tournament started while we were playing and was 5 + hour round. Could of been scheduled different.
First time to play
Driving range was pretty bad. Hit off old mats with no tees. Should consider new carts. The storage of drinks and accessories very limited no GPS seemed old.
Fun course and nice people. Did not realize that you finish the front nine no where near the clubhouse. Intermediate food shack at the turn is serviceable.. Probably helps with the pace of play. Overall a good day of golf.
Frustrating Pro Shop Staff
Associate at Pro Shop attempted to charge our group with cart fees. Cart fees were included with promotion. Even after illustrating this to Pro Shop staff by providing confirmation email, which clearly stated cart fees included, staff would not budge. Requested to speak with a supervisor/manager and was able to resolve the issue. In saying that, who wants to start a round with frustration and tension?
