About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

SLOW
It took 5 hours 20 min to finish. They let a tournament happen before us with our saying anything. Then the pro shop was gone when we finished. Not justifiable in the slightest
Super Slow.
2:40 minutes to play 9. Called staff while on 6 and the response was “yeah it’s slow”. Asked for a Marshall and still haven’t seen one. Love the course but this is ridiculous. Time to hit my tee shot on 10. Five and half hours to play a round of gold is unacceptable. Course staff should care but don’t. They should consider 15 minute tee times and raise the price a couple of dollars.
Not impressed
I was not impressed with the condition of the course.
Grass is drying out after record rains. We were told to stay on the cart paths. I don’t understand. We were not driving on green areas or any restricted areas. There are better courses for the money we paid.

I like the greens and layout but wish the greens were softer.
Food
I never understood why the restaurant is separate from the golf course we can’t even purchase beer and take it on the course this is ridiculous!
The course has a lot carry shots.
Played early with regulars an played under 3 hours. A 3some.
Hyland Good Course
Pretty much everything I would want in a neighborhood course, unfortunately I don't live in the neighborhood.
Golf course is a great golf experience
Loved everything about it except that the tee boxes are in terrible shape. I’ll definitely come back.
Nice course
Price is a little high for this course, restaurant is hit or miss if open, 18 holes and saw cart girl 1 time.
Bummer
Really bummed, had a 4pm tee time, barely got to finish 17 from pace of play. We got there 45 minutes early to hit the driving range- closed with no warning. All snack carts were out of everything, slowly were able to make our way to mid way snack shack but they were out of everything. We love this location but really bummed on the way today went.
