About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

Course in great shape. Greens had some sand but rolled pretty well. No complaints
Incredible value
If you can grab a good deal from tee off for this course, I highly suggest you do it! In the not too distant past, Richter was a top 10 public course. The layout is phenomenal. There are many holes where water comes in to play. The course was in very good condition when we played.
Enjoyable Father’s Day
Course is well maintained staff is friendly. Few holes have blind spots but staff are stationed at these holes to keep play moving. They also spot your ball for you which can be very helpful. Fun course and I’ll definitely be back to play again.
Perfect Day
Beautiful Day!!! Staff was friendly. Starter was very good, Had Spotters out on the course helping with blind shots not only when to hit but help locate your ball to help speed of play. Some holes were cart path only but front 9 had beautiful water holes! Looking to playing there again. Was helpful playing with 2 guys that knew the course well. Would not recommend walking this course if you have never played it before. Good to take cart and check on where to hit because 5 or 6 holes have blind shots.
Richter is Back!
The course is in the best shape since I started playing it 27 years ago. Amazing what rain can do; and all the improvements are fantastic. Hope they finish off the original plan for a beautiful 10th hole to replace the classic hole that was lost creating a driving range (which was needed...) Proud to call this my "home course."
Very Good
First time playing this course, and it was really nice. The front nine had some of the nicest golf holes around. Two fantastic par 3’s over water. The back nine is decent, with the awesome 12th hole. Plenty of opportunities to take pictures on this golf course as some of the views are awesome.
Course conditions: Tee boxes -Good, Greens - Good, Fairways - Good, but wet in spots, Bunkers - The bunkers were so so. The grass around them needs to be worked on. Tons of weeds, but not awful.
Worth the trip to play here from North Jersey.

Nice little track like it a lot been a while since I’ve played course was in good condition however I would have thought the greens would have been in better shape since they are having a JR Golf Tournament tomorrow sandy and slow other than that business as usual
