Richter Park Golf Course
About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

Wonderful!
First time playing this course! It was in great condition, the views are spectacular! Several challenging blind holes. My only comment or suggestion is to have better signage or a bell or something to prevent being hit by the players behind you. A woman I was playing with was hit in the back by a golf ball, very scary.
Excellent course
The golf course was in great condition.
Play was a little slow, completed 18 holes in 4 hours.
Will definitely schedule another round.
Wow!
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! From the Rangers and starter to the pro shop peeps to the layout and conditions. Worth the drive from Long Island!!

I'm a single digit handicap and thanks to Covid have played nearly 70 rounds year to date. I will give a fair and honest review with no skin in the game. Came up from Queens, NY and have heard alot about this course and as a 30 year golfer finally had the opportunity to give it a try. Overall it was a good day.
$69 on a weekday just after noon with cart and range balls (mats only today) was well worth the hour drive. The layout was challenging but fair. Not knowing the course with its intricacies and blind shots made it tough. No GPS on the carts and the lack of cell service in the area not allowing me to use my app didn't help navigating the course. Do yourself a favor and drive up where you can to survey the hole if you're a newbie.
Many tee boxes were beat up. Does it matter? Not really, you tee the ball up. Greens were fast and true, excellent condition. Fairways on the front had no problems. Back 9 in the low lying areas were pretty spotty but helped with 3 of them being cart path only. Those holes must be a nightmare after heavy rain cart path or not.
Ranger(s) kept pace of play where needed. Cart girl came around every 3 holes., great service.
Look forward to playing it again now knowing the course.
Great condition but greens are awful
Lightning greens but inconsistent throughout the day.
Course condition is in good shape and great pace of play.
