Fairchild Wheel red course
Very friendly and courteous staff, pace of play was excellent, and course was in great shss as pe considering the recent weather conditions.
Pretty good for the price
The course is always a little rough. But it's the end of summer and they did a good job of keeping it in good condition. Thanks!
Red course stinks
Really like the black course, but played the red course yesterday. the tee boxes were basically hitting off of rock solid dirt, just torn to shreds and no care put into them. No bar cart going around for drinks or snacks, and no way to order from the new carts. The gps on the carts doesnt show yardage, its basically just a map of the hole. Not a bad time but overall think the course is putting the money into the wrong things (like new golf carts) instead of what actually matters (the teeboxes and having food and drink options on the course). Fairways and greens were great though.
Nice course
We played the front nine of the Red Course at 5pm. It was a lovely walk and very enjoyable.
Great course for the money!!
The Red course is long, wide, and challenging. Lots of long par 4s but with wide open forgiving tee shots. Greens and fairways are in great condition. Tee boxes could use a little love. With 18 hoe tee times often readily available on GolfNow for around $25 (plus $19 for a cart), this is one of the best values in Fairfield County. Keep up the good work guys!!
The Wheeler!!
The course very average. Everything average priced right in this economy.
It’s the red course
Not bad for May. Tee boxes only issues. 3:35 minutes for 18 was great.
Needs maintenance
Very strange layout. Horrendous conditions. Bunked where raked. Tee boxes dirt
The Wheel Red
Bad stuff first...my game, and there were no box markings.
Good stuff...very friendly staff, fairways and greens were in great shape, and the course can be forgiving...if you don't slice and hook like me.
Fog
The course was so foggy we couldn't see more than 50 yards out
Great Course
Great course (played Red). Awesome opportunity to use driver/woods on 7 of 9 holes. Looking forward to play the black course.
Great course
Great course. Played Red. 7 out of 9 holes are driver with open fields. Trees on the sides. Great friendly staff and guests. Had a frost delay and everyone was friendly and patient. Overall, great time. Will book again on black.
