Good condition, greens and fairways in good shape for June. Some T box need help now. But that’s The Wheel

Good course(s) Black is better than the Red but both need some improvement. Some fun holes scattered throughout the course. I think the greens would benefit from better trimming.

So I am only writing this because I’m ticked off at the girl working the front desk. We called on 9 and said It was 1) way to slow for us to finish 18 and 2) It was freezing cold out. Asked if we could get a rain check for the other 9 holes. Went in and the girl was trying to tell me the refund the second 9 of the 18 which would be the price different in playing 9 vs 18. She gave me and my two buddies $15 back each. That is not a rain check - idk who told her this but you all need to learn math. Even if she did It correctly - $15 back on a $70 round is basically the cart fee. Idk what’s going on over there but I am ticked off and someone needs to educate their workers - no other good course does this.

Fairways and greens are in real rough shape but it’s the beginning of the season so I’ll give them a pass. Course is super hilly but it was a fun play. Will definitely be back.

Greens were a little hairy but still rolled very well. For March the course is in fantastic condition

Pros: A decent layout on a beautiful piece of property. Cons: Lousy condition and a surly staff.

Given the amount of play there should be plenty of revenue to reinvest into the course. It was perhaps the worst conditioned course I've ever played. I suspect the city and it's corrupt politicians skim off as much as they can for other purposes. It is too bad because this could be a destination public golf course with some thoughtful investment and a talented superintendent.

It is a little hilly but friendly, too.

We were walking this time, so it was a little bit complex.

Most people ride, it will be ok.

The course had a lot of debris/ storm branches etc. down on the ground.

The Tee markers weren’t out.

The Black course has a number of hills so walking is a workout. The course looks great and the staff is friendly.

I played a round of fallen leaves; not golf balls. With 75% of the leaves already fallen off the trees, it is inexcusable that a majority of the course fairways were inundated with leaves that created lost balls after very good tee shots. The municipal course management is being too lazy or end-of-season budget cheap - or both - and obviously doesn’t care about course playability.

No tee markers, unfixed ball marks all over the greens. Overall horrible conditions. Will not return!
