One feature in the signup through GolfNow is that it automatically charged for a cart when we did not use a cart as we walked. There does not appear to be any way to get this credited back to my card or a direct refund. This will cause me to rethink using using that app.
Everything else was enjoyable and efficient.
Staff friendliness
Got there a bit early and saw the black course was backed up and slow, saw no one on the red and asked the starter if we could play the red course, he seemed upset that we would request this and developed an attitude about our request, I’ve been playing this course for over 30 years and after that confrontation I’m ready to look elsewhere !!. It’s too bad one person can leave you with such a bad experience!

Attitude adjustment.
Pretty layout. Especially the Black course. Conditions were great early in the year but steadily downhill. Most of the staff is very pleasant but a particular starter needs counseling. Rude, condescending, and just bad at his job. Pretty easy job to do well and it takes a lot of effort to be terrible at it. Sad.

Great value
Well kept greens, great scenic track really captures some of CT’s hilly and challenging land. Pace can get slow on busy weekends, but after playing both the Red and Black course, I’ll be coming back regularly

Lovely course
The Black course is challenging, but yet the wide fairways and good course management, allows you to score well. There are places where you can’t see where you will be hitting! The condition of the course was generally good in spite of rains. The starter was very friendly.

Terribly Maintained
They desperately need someone to start caring about the quality of this course. Every single area had grass that was way too long, including the greens and fringes. Where the grass wasn't too long was only that way because there was no grass! Weeds, dirt, divots, and more make playing here a nightmare. It's a shame because the back 9 is actually a very nice and picturesque layout.

Tee boxes are well worn and greens do not roll true.

the greens had just been aerated - sooooo sandy it was crazy. maybe more sand on the greens than in the traps?
i know it's needed, but yikes!! the amount was unplayable
