Wet but good day
Course was pretty wet but in good shape. Some tees were a bit beaten up, but rest of course was great. Will be back
Nice county course
First time playing the black course.somewhat challenging. Excellent condition. Very friendly staff. I would go back in a heartbeat. Greens, fairways all in Excellent condition.
No rangers and no maintenance on golf
The course is in bad shape. Look like it has no maintenance or superintendent took care of it at all. No ranger and so many beginner players on course. They were all over the place.
Interesting course
It's a interesting course that gets a lot of play. The greens and fairways are good, the tee boxes and manicuring a little rough. I go there regularly.
Course good, Bar na
The golf course was good for the money, but they rip you off in the bar afterwards. 1 soda, 1 beer, 2 mixed drinks $31.50. Ridiculous!
The Wheeler
Fairways good and tee boxes sub par. Greens and sand traps terrible.

Smoke day at the Wheel
The Black course played well. Some tees were totally chewed up, but fairways greens bunkers and rough were very good. Several groups backed up on the back 9. An active Ranger would be good

Pleasantly surprised
Very hilly and scenic New England course, challenging due to quite a few par 4 holes over 400 yds. Not any big water hazards, but a few well placed streams and bunkers.
Fairways were in good shape, greens rolled well.

It’s The Wheel !
Nothing really has changed and it’s better than the Red. A couple of guys are doing their best to pick up storm damage. It’s winter and the grass is dead but there is ground cover, especially the Everglades at the bottom of 13/16.

To my fellow golfers! I get it… When you live in this hemisphere and are a diehard golfer, it’s difficult to hang it up for the season without regret. Those off days during the winter in New England when the sun is out and the temps rise just slightly above 45 degrees, you search GolfNow urgently for a tee time, throw on your warm weather gear and you head out to the course. Fairchild Wheeler gets this and caters to those who are itching to play and don’t have the opportunity to run to a warm climate on a whim. Sounds like a golden opportunity, of course! However, this is why the course is not well maintained. From muddy, non-existent tee boxes, to inch-deep puddles on the green. My recommendation to FW during this time of year, regardless of weather, is to also learn when to hang it up for the season. It makes for a better course experience during the warmer months. Additionally, please enforce cart path rules after moderate rain.
