Fun place to play golf
This is a great course for your average to below average golfer, not a very long course andthe par 3's make it fun
Rubbed me the wrong way.
We booked on golf now to play "Footgolf 9 holes" for 4 of us. It was a great deal seemingly. We get to the course and they inform us that "Footgolf" is played with a soccer ball. What???? Nowhere on the site did it say anything of the sort. The staff was not helpful, and seemed not to care that this was seemingly a bait and switch. We ended up paying double what we thought we would per player (still a decent price for 9 holes but it just didn't rub us right). We get to the first hole and hit our first shots.... at the wrong pin. Apparently the one we all aimed our first 2 shots at was the "Footgolf" hole, not the actual hole. We played most of the round without an issue. The course conditions were decent for the price. The only other thing was the layout. The last 3 holes are a heck of a walk from each other... through a heavily populated neighborhood. You feel like you've completely left the course as you walk down the sidewalk in front of people's houses as they eat dinner and watch you walk by. I wouldn't say I'll NEVER play here again... but I'll certainly be looking for some good deals elsewhere and use this as a last resort.
Check out Minnechaug!
Nice course. Great pace of play. Very friendly and courteous staff. Would play again. Great for a quick 9.
Minnechaug
Great course for 9 holes particularly late in the day or after work. The holes are challenging enough to keep you involved.
Always a good time.
Nice course, nice staff. Glad the new restaurant is open. Always like coming here.
Great 9 hole practice course
Took my son who is just learning to play. perfect course to practice your game
It works
Had a great time with my son. Course will
Throw you a challenge . It's a nine hole layout so you get what you expect but they do have an island hole ( not quite Sawgrass) but still fun....Play from the blue tees. Bar is lacking but they do have cold ones in the pro shop. I will
Be playing again.
Fair in May
First time in 2016, the course had been clean up from all the tree debris and the grass were cut well, compared to last May. If they keep the course clean like this, less geese dropping everywhere, I may play here more often. They finally fence the 8th hole, feet high, no geese on the green.
needs a little work
NEEDS TO BE UP KEPT A LITTLE MORE . a LOT OF BARE DIRT AREAS
Great value
Play here periodically and you can't beat the price. The course is always in nice shape and best of all it's a quick round when playing 9.
Good value, good conditions
Course conditions have improved immensely since Glastonbury Hills took over maintainence. Fun course that you can play quickly. Good price/value option for beginners. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Target golf
Minnechaug's smaller greens puts a premium on accuracy. Woodlands penalize wayward shots. After the recent drought fairways have browned areas. Greens are in good shape and put true. The closing two holes drive over water- a stress filled ending. Well priced for the quality and challenge.
Course needs weed control
Very narrow ,play smart to score. Greens O.K. Lots of weeds on fringe of greens.
Need a quick 9 holes
This course was easy play. And the round of nine holes went very quickly. There was no writing on the food and beverage as I did not purchase any. The staff was very friendly and polite. Just a great round of golf
Greens rolled true
I was able to 1 putt 6 of 9 greens. Something that I would like to do more often. I was very happy with the staff. Friendly and courteous. The girl came and took my cart back without asking. I turned around and there she was with a big smile and wished me a good rest of the day.
Not too bad
The course is in good condition. The pace of play was alright. My only complaints would be that there's no beverage cart and one night when I played there after work I was done with my round a little after 8 and I went to the clubhouse to grab a bite to eat and have a beer but they were already closed. They're losing out on business there.
Quick,inexpensive nine holes
I used the Golf Now App and played 9 holes at a 54% savings which was great for my senior budget.I was paired up with a young couple and the woman's grandmother who played well for her age ! Very enjoyable round.
Great value
The course is in really great shape this year, fairways and greens. The staff was really friendly The course is in really great shape this year, fairways and greens. The staff was really friendly and accommodating . Nice quiet course set out in the woods call myself and my son had an awesome time highly recommend it for the price
Nice first impression
I've always seen the Golfnow deals on this course and I've driven by the course a number of times but I have never played it. Seemed too short for my tastes, but I finally decided to give it try with my regular playing partner. I was impressed with the pace of play - 1 hour 45 minutes and the overall condition of the course. Greens were especially in nice condition. Short par 4's and par 5's, but a challenging enough layout to make you think about the right club to use off the tee on these holes to stay out of trouble. I liked the variety in the length and design of the 3 par 3's. Great value for the price and a nice golf course.
Fun Nine Holer
We always have a great time playing Minnechaug. The staff are friendly, the course is in good shape and it usually plays pretty fast. On our recent play the greens were medium fast and rollling nice. The course layout is decent and finishes with two interesting par 3's, one being a true island green that plays about 115 from the whites. It's a fun course to play and worth a try.
