very nice people
I stupidly booked the wrong date in Golf Now and showed up the next day, on a packed, beautiful Sunday. The team there was understanding and figured out a way for us to get 18 in. That was very nice of them.
Whitney Farms
Course in great shape. Down to earth friendly staff. Weekend pace not too bad. 2.5 hrs for nine holes. Great deal on golf now ($40 with a cart/9 holes). Will go again soon
Wide open course
A lot of recent work done on tee boxes and fairways. Greens were in excellent shape. I do miss the old oak tree on 10.
Anzo
One staff member interrupted us while we were putting. One group cut us off in fairway.
No cart girl, no rangers, nothing in stock. Won’t be back for a while.
Great Course, needs to update distances though.
Love this course. Only grievance is there are now multiple tee boxes for tips on back 9 that have been moved back causing the true distance to be 10-15% further than card reflects. Course should adjust slope/rating for accurate GHIN.
Good conditions
Overall all nice play to play. Would go back
New tee boxes well done
Can you ask for better?
Whitney Farms Golf Course is truly a hidden gem for golfers of all skill levels. From the moment you step onto the first tee, you can tell this course is maintained with care and pride. The bunkers are pristine—perfectly raked, well-placed, and visually appealing. The fairways are a dream to play on: smooth, lush, and inviting, making each shot feel rewarding no matter your lie.
What really sets Whitney Farms apart, though, is its strategic challenge. The greens are beautifully undulated, offering a true test of your short game. Reading the breaks and navigating the slopes is where even seasoned golfers will find themselves tested. Combine that with a variety of water hazards and noticeable elevation changes throughout the course, and you have a layout that demands both thought and precision.
It’s a course that rewards good decision-making and keeps you engaged from start to finish. Whitney Farms strikes the perfect balance between beauty and challenge—highly recommended for anyone who loves a well-designed, well-maintained round of golf.
It's Even Better
They have done a lot of work to clear out some of the trees and shrubs and weeds around the course. The greens and fairways are in great shape for this early. Definitely worth a look.
Good fun
Friendly staff, good amenties and well looked after course. Will be back for sure.
Good Course, but needed some work
I assume they will finish their work by the Spring. There were some tee boxes blocked off and areas of improvement, but overall was a decent course to play with great views and a medium difficulty.
Nice course but too slow sometimes
Nice course with some long needed upgrades to tee boxes. The greens were very good this year, some being widened this fall. It has a driving range for any club, and a practice green. While I have played several rounds here this year that were mostly acceptable pace, the few rounds were not. Whitney needs to get a ranger or some way to monitor and keep people moving. People need to keep the pace of play. If you're one these people that take twenty practice swings or have some kind of hitting setup that takes 2 min per shot, you need to speed it up or shorten it. While you and your crew maybe having a great time and fun with your round, you're ruining the round of everyone else behind you. You also have an obligation to keep a reasonable pace, and not be selfish to take as much time as you like. You can't be that oblivious to the fact, a whole group worth of open space is in front of you and two groups are backing up behind on every tee box. People like this are the reason courses should be using rangers to keep groups moving. Its not hard to find the culprit group and get them going, but many munis don't want the confrontation .
Slow
2 hours and 20 minutes to play 9 holes on a Sunday afternoon pretty late into the season. a group of 4 teenagers were two groups ahead taking pictures, videos, and their sweet time with no one infront of them. no ranger came by the whole time. rude starter, as others have said. overpriced for the experience and treatment
Great Staff - Nice Course
A very crowded Saturday but to be expected with such beautiful weather. Starters and clubhouse staff were very Cordial. I was paired up with a member who decided to skip some holes. The staff allowed me to be -st off the next day to make up for the loss of holes. We’re very kind and accommodating and even checked on me the next day. Can’t ask for more than that. Nice mix of holes at the is course with short and long Par 4’s and Par 3’s. Some thinking man dog legs and the greens provide a nice challenge. Recommend!
Good course for new golfers
Some course revisions were underway during our play, which impacted negatively on our play. I'm a novice player... only four lessons in at the time, so I cannot sincerely say if a course is good or bad. The staff were excellent and very friendly..
