Pequabuck is short but challenging.
Pequabuck has narrow fairways with small, fast-undulating greens. The course is just short of prestine. Pequabuck is one of the best values that Golfnow.com offers. Play it once and you'll play it again and again. The best part is very few people seem to know about this little gem. So you can actually play 18 holes as a foursome in 4 hours.

Great greens, decent fairways
The greens were challenging and very well maintained. Some of the fairways had a few areas that needed attention but on a busy weekend understandable with high use. Hole 11 was covered in geese and droppings right up to the green.
Very well maintained and the 10th and 11th holes are spectacular as well as challenging
The course is in excellent conditions
The back 9 are the most challenging 9 holes I've played in a while.
Quick Greens. Requires Focus
The last 7 holes at Pequabuck are not as challenging as the first 11. Long Par 4s and winding par 5's with some of the fastest greens in the area combine for quite the challenge. Last time I played this course I was able to shoot +2 on the last 7 to save an 80 after getting destroyed by the front 9
The course is challanging in it's layout.
Greens: well maintained, somewhat fast.
Fairways: should be in better condition considering the amount of rain. Some damaged areas.
Tee boxes: average
Rough: average to poor condition. Many hard, bare spots.
A Challenging Round
The course is not long but you better put your Tee shot where it needs to be or it will play difficult. They posted a great 18 hole with cart hot deal and couldn't beat it. The staff is friendly and the course seems to have a very friendly membership. Pace of play was good even though it got a little tight at the end of the round. Still I played 18 in just less than 4hrs. I definitely would play Pequabuck again.
Pretty good course
For the money, the course was great. Would I spend more than 20$ to play this course? No way. The fairways weren't well kept, the greens had divots, and the tees weren't flat or smooth. It needs some serious attention.
This course has great features and is fun to play
They had overbooked in the afternoon and the play was VERY slow and had to bounce around to play holes that were open. Could not get into a good rhythm to play golf. Could not finish eighteen holes.
Pro is unfriendly and course is sketchy
Booked through golf now for hot deal itme. Got to the course and a high school match was just teeing off. Spoke to the pro and he told me he doesn't make any money on the golfnow hot times so it's not his problem. Teed off 45 minutes late for a 2.5 hour front nime. We waited on EVERY shot. Course itself left a lot to be desired. Multiple shots over roads and railroad tracks. Also included are glorious views of power lines, water tanks and streets. Many of the fairways are canted sideways and there is almost nothing you can do to keep the ball in play. Everything just runs off into the woods. I won't be back, ever.
Tight,tough doglegs....sloped greens
Challenging for any level player, especially when greens are cut tight. Not much water but enough woods to get into trouble.
A testing little course
Well maintained with fast breaking greens. Recommend a cart due to distances between tees.
Great course and beautiful views
Challenging course that requires long strait drives. Course looked great and the greens were well maintained. Clubhouse could use some work, but I never go golfing to sit in a clubhouse.
I'll be back !
played this course on oct 10 after about 6 hours of rain
and the course was still in very good shape. starter
was nice enough to let us off the back nine to help the
pace of play. hard course for a shorter course, lots of
doglegs and risk /reward opportunities. greens in real good
shape, fairways had leaves ,but that is expected in oct.
will definitely play this course again.
Course management is a must
The course isn't really long, using the right club at the right time is crucial to keep your score low
Great course
Challenging enough track but you can score if you control your irons.
Worst golf course I've played.
The past three time I have played at this course we were not able to complete 18 holes of golf due to pace of play. Most recently when we made the turn there was 6 groups in front of us waiting on the tee. Guy in pro shop told us we had to wait for those groups to tee off first even though we had a tee time. I would never recommend this course to anyone and wouldn't play there even if they payed me.
Slow Back Nine Behind League Play
Excellent deal for a decent course. I played the front with one other golfer in less than two hours - much longer playing the back behind men's league players. I'm pretty sure my partner and I were treated poorly due to the low rate paid. The pro-shop could have let us play back to front and avoided the league.
