Nice course
Best greens on a public course I've seen this year.
Pequabuck is in great shape
Fun course to play, I thought the conditions yesterday were excellent. Greens were near perfect, fairways were soft and short, rough was well maintained. Groundskeeping is doing a great job so far this season. Kudos.
Will Be Back
I drove into the course thinking it was in a pretty bad neighborhood, but was pleasantly surprised. Only complaint, and a minor one, was that you kinda feel like a target on some of the holes. People must occasionally get here because they have some tee shots that shoot directly towards other fairways. That being said, the course was in great shape, with some challenging holes. I was late to my scheduled time, but they let me go right out when I arrived. Staff was very nice and happy to allow the late start. Many of the holes have blind or nearly blind tee shots, so if first time, try to play with someone who has played there before.
Short course, however difficult greens get your attention.
Want to go back and play the course during the summer. Worth the 1 hour ride for me.
Eric was super
When I arrived Eric was more that helpful. I explained that I would be on call as my wife was having a procedure done. As it turned out I only completed 2 holes before I got a call from the hospital. Eric was very understanding and issued me a rain check for the next time I could play...Thanks for hiring such a friendly guy...
nice day on the links
course is in good shape I enjoyed playing there. golf now had a great price for 2:40 tee time. Tee boxes fairways and greens all in good shape.
course overall features
Course is very well maintained and challenging all ways like this course little to expensive but with golfnow it makes it affordable to play this course thanks golfnow
Challenging but fun
A great course with lots of features, challenging greens and crisp tee boxes. Beautiful scenery. Very well maintained
Staff and Course needs work
Basically everything negative that people have been saying is %100 true. The entire course and proshop was being ran by a you g teenager kid who was sending 1 somes, 2 somes, 3 somes and 4 somes out all together. It was basically a free for all whoever got to the tee box first, trying to beat out the members who have the right of way. The tee boxes are quite sloped and choppy. It seemed like every whole had a stock pile of dead grass, tree limbs and logs that they just threw in the woods. It's a very short, narrow "non tree limb trimmed" course. Bunkers were concrete and filled with water. Needs a lot of TLC but ironically the greens were very nice.
Don't play the course unless its a flaming hot deal under $40 with a cart. It's just not worth it.
Great challenge
This course has stumped many a fine player with its deceptively short yardage. What they fail to grasp is the course is a target golf course where the ball position is critical on the tee shot; secondly, the back nine does not have a par 5, a fact which makes the par 4's longer than expected. The greens are in excellent shape, rivaling private course conditions. The one drawback, I see, is the less than cordialness of the pro shop staff from the pro on down. They could use some lessons on how to deal with the public.
Course has beautiful par 3's
Course is challenging resulting in slow play.... Many groups spend too much time looking for lost balls. Perhaps rangers could be more active..
Bring a lot of balls.
The course is maintained and the greens are in great shape. As long as you can hit the fairways you will have no problem. If you can't hit the fairways you will spend some time finding your ball. The rough is higher than most courses and if you play the way I do you will be hitting from the rough all day long. Some holes are pretty tight and don't leave any room for error. Others have very little room for error. I do like the course however.
Course in very nice shape.
Always easy to get out. Members keep pace of play moving along. Course in very nice shape considering recent heat wave.
Short course but tricky.
Course is 5,600 but very interesting. Par 3's were great. Greens were very good.
Good layout, good value, a little too close to people on other holes
The tee boxes for one hole are little too close to those on others. Also very close to greeens. Course in good condition. Good tough little course
I felt this course was a very good value for the price.
I have played this course in scramble tournaments but never using my own ball. I enjoy the course and look forward to playing again.
Tight well maintained layout.
Late morning round on Fathers Day proved to be enjoyable and lengthy. This course has tight front 9 with people putting as other people teeing off within 15 yards, but opens up in back 9 with many scenic fairways and blind tee shots. Members ( I assume) seemed a little territorial. Course staff was very friendly.Course is well cared for and it shows.
Needs more carts
Ran out of golf carts, yet because it was booked through GolfNow they said they couldn't give us credit because the price was already discounted. Not the answer i was expecting since we had already paid for carts.
