Another Hidden CT Gem of a Course!
This was a spur-of-the-moment booking via GolfNow for my co-worker and I, having a rare Sunday free to play 18. Plenty of variety on both the front and back 9, accuracy is key to keeping in the fairways - otherwise, you're hitting out of Agusta-length rough. Weather was overcast, with light rain and mist/fog - fairways and greens are well-maintained, whereas long rough was wet making for some challenging shots. Lots of pitched greens, with interesting hole placements resulting in 3 putts. Course is bordered by residential neighborhoods, only a few backyard mis-hits. Course was busy, and a few times felt rushed but not excessively so. Finished in 5 hours.
Fabulous!!
Course was in awesome shape. Staff, as usual, was friendly and accommodating! Even the sand in the bunkers was soft ( hit into too many !!)

I fell in love with ,Southington country club in 2007,, and have been playing there ever since. I recommend giving this course a try.

Early Golf
Very nice opening weekend. They had a Stater keeping everything on time. A Marshall keeping everyone on pace.

Played the blue tees for the first time.
Had a great round and May stick to the blues.
Course was in fabulous shape. Staff as usual is top notch. All in all a great day playing with 3 new friends from GOLFNOW !!!!
SCC
Course was in great shape except for the wet conditions and the typical cart path only. Putting surface was fast and true. Leaves are starting to come down but that situation was well maintained for the day. Usual stop at the back 9 tavern was exceptional as always. Very pleasant day!

Ya gotta play this course !!
First and last time
First time playing this course and will be the last time. I never write reviews but it was that bad. First started with the ranger 3 foursomes backed up and a twosome behind us the ranger tells us on the fifth hole to pick up pace of play. How can we pick up pace of play when we’re waiting 5 mins on every shot? Next pace of play it took 3 and half hours to play 9 holes. Finally we make the turn and then someone in pro shop yells at the group for hitting into the other group 3 different occasions and actually claims we hit a person. One we give a lot distances because we don’t enjoy being hit into. Two if I got hit with a golf ball and I have before it hurts and I would not have waited to go to the pro shop and tattle. The course is very tight and tee boxes are next to greens like right next to greens so if you are not controlling the ball it can go near groups ahead of you. We were also told early to pick up pace of play. Moral of the story is if you want a less than subpar staff and 5 and half hours to play 18 this is the course for you.

Southington- cold/windy
Always a nice venue. Course is in great shape and the greens rolled well. Very cold Sept day and the pace was a little slow. I guess we just wanted to move quickly on such a chilly and windy day. Restaurant Back Nine is always terrific with a friendly staff.
