Raceway Golf Club

Course layout rather unique in spots, but difficult to enjoy the course for two reasons:

1) the rough is too long! Very frustrating to hit a shot 5-10 feet off the fairway and then not be able to find the ball. This happened to both of our players on several occasions throughout the day.

2) pace of play - why are we waiting around all day? The foursome in front of us was slow. Ok, PUSH them along or facilitate a play-through. Ranger hung with us for a couple holes, but did nothing to move things along ahead. Maybe slow down the tee time interval?

My golf time is hard to get and sacred. Don’t want to be frustrated the whole time, the sport’s hard enough as it is.

Continually making improvements, greens very receptive, friendly staff

First time visiting course. Did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The conditions of the course were excellent. The best greens I have played on all year. Very interesting course layout. Great staff. I would highly recommend this course. You can’t beat the price. I will be back.

Course in good condition greens in great shape just a little slow pace of play excellent

I have played this course several times in past years always liked it, but now I love it. It is in the best condition in years, fairways are green and lush, greens are carpet-like. I would prefer the greens a little faster. You must play this course now.

Course in excellent shape but rough was a little high

Always a great value. They need to cut the greens shorter. A little too slow. But that’s my preference. All in all, a good course. Couple quirky holes but again, solid.

The course is always one of the first to open. No others were open and in spite of the course being very, very wet, I was happy as a clam to be outside playing my new Titleist AP1 Irons. I was one of only 2 people on the course all day. It was like golf Nirvana.. Most green were damp but only a few were unputtable. I would not want to score them poorly though since its February and I was just happy to be there.

Everything was great except the pace of play the foursome who were 3 holes ahead of us would not let us play through. It was furating having to wait the last 8 holes. No ranger on duty.

The WIND was relentless and it was just part of the days expectations...what was not expected(and something we golfers may take for granted), was that the CARTS had NO FRONT SHIELD...for rain, or wind...all the carts SIDES were exposed...and on a day like Sunday...made having a hat and gloves an mandate...course was in great shape...just wish those playing would be alert to the wet spots(cart tracks dug into the fairways) and be courteous enough to fix divots...else, just a good day all around...

This course is always in great shape, they do a good job to maintain it. Greens are smooth and roll true, fairways are green. Course layout is good, you have to make some shots to get in position, it will challenge you.

Worth the drive, play it.
