About
Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane is situated in the quiet town of Woodbridge, just 20 minutes from New Haven. Formerly known as Oak Lane County Club, the course was both renamed and renovated when it was acquired by the management team at The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford. Many of the holes were updated but the golf course retained its challenging but playable nature. Though the course is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels, there are still several challenges in store. Numerous strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and towering trees also frame most of the holes. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few tricky doglegs to keep you on your toes. You'll also be confronted with the occasional water hole. Both your accuracy and short-game skills will be tested at Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane.

Oak Lane
lost several balls due to storm debris within the rough. It was a very bad storm but still was a bit annoying trying to dig thru leaves and branches to locate them only to drop a ball to keep pace of play
Very poor condition
Maybe it’s the weather, maybe budget issues, who knows. Terrible condition, greens stink, bunkers stink...no good
My favorite course in the area. Due to the storm 2 of our foursome couldn'make it. since the app wouldnt let me modify the number of people I ended up losing 100 bucks on the round
Great place to play
Amazing course not to far from Fairfield county where it’s extremely difficult to find weekend t times! Will be back for sure!

Live in Fairfield county and t times in that area on the weekends are hard to come by.
This place was pristine. Great course and beautifuly landscaped. Will definitely be back!
Not What it Once Was!
Unfortunately, the price and the place are not in sync. Tee boxes are littered with broken tees and the greens are covered with unfixed ball marks. Oh and then there are the wasps on #16 and #17 they nest in the bunkers. I won’t be back there any time soon.
Good course but not COVID Friendly
This might matter to some, other not so much, but this course made me drive with a stranger and would not provide individual carts for each player (we had 3). They put plastic rain covers between the seats but that did not make me feel comfortable given I did not know the gentleman I was playing with. I ended up walking. I'll play again but only if I know the other 3 members of my foursome.
Another great day at Oak Lane
I’ve been playing Oak Lane every 2 or three weeks or so and the course is awesome. Love the greens, plays just like a private course or tournament course each week. The staff is great, keep up the great work Oak Lane!
Please water the course!!
You can miss hit from 135 yards out and have the ball roll up and through the green!! And speaking of the greens, you might want to water them..
For the momey, they should keep the covid-19 masks on because the course is in terrible shape.
Great condition of golf course.
Perfection of distance with other groups. I enjoyed well maintaining golf course. Green was fast clean condition.
It was little hardship moment while I climbed hills to high enough to walk. Except this, everything was so enjoyable time while I was playing golf.
Course in great condition
I really enjoy Oak Lane! The course is in great condition, for the most part (tee boxes are a little torn up). Other than that, for a public course, this is top of the class. Real nice practice facility complete with grass range. Greens are like putting on glass (Note: stay below the hole). Definitely, like that the course is 5 minutes away from my house. Will be back soon.
