About
Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane is situated in the quiet town of Woodbridge, just 20 minutes from New Haven. Formerly known as Oak Lane County Club, the course was both renamed and renovated when it was acquired by the management team at The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford. Many of the holes were updated but the golf course retained its challenging but playable nature. Though the course is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels, there are still several challenges in store. Numerous strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and towering trees also frame most of the holes. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few tricky doglegs to keep you on your toes. You'll also be confronted with the occasional water hole. Both your accuracy and short-game skills will be tested at Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane.

Great Course
We just bought a second/beach home in the area and we’re looking for a great local course. Found it.
Great conditions and friendly staff
Course is in great shape and staff members are friendly. White spray paint inside cups are a nice touch. Sand traps are getting upgraded.
Another great day at Oak Lane
What a great day, course was packed on what was a hot Friday. We liked the beverage cart parked on #6, that let us get beverages on #3 and #6 and then saw the beverage cart girl driving around A few times as well. Course was in great shape and the staff did a great job moving a slower group in front of us. Love the new bunkers!!!
Worst service ever received on a course
Putting aside the terrible experience and service, this is probably a 3.5 star course. However, the careless, lackluster service by course staff has ensured that we will never return. Upon arrival, the inattentive nature of the starters was a little worrisome about what we were in for during the round. We ordered food via the cart during the 7th hole, having not even seen a beverage cart yet, and went to the clubhouse to try and get the food at the turn, and was told the cart girl would find us (which should’ve been a red flag to us seeing as she hadn’t found us at all before the turn). It wasn’t until the 14th hole that we finally made contact with a beverage cart who had our hardly warm food inside of an insulated bag. On a 90+ degree day, on a relatively slow Friday (compared to courses we usually frequent), not receiving any kind of service until the 14th is mind boggling. Several phone calls were made to the club house before then, two of which went to voicemail, the other two that were answered, we were told they would “try” to get someone out to us “if they ran into them”. Truly just an outrageously bad experience, and will definitely deter myself and my friends from ever returning. Very disappointing.
Bunkers still need work but better then last time
Enjoyed the round . Excellent service from the staff. Course still needs some work but it’s good to see continuous improvement
