Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane is situated in the quiet town of Woodbridge, just 20 minutes from New Haven. Formerly known as Oak Lane County Club, the course was both renamed and renovated when it was acquired by the management team at The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford. Many of the holes were updated but the golf course retained its challenging but playable nature. Though the course is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels, there are still several challenges in store. Numerous strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and towering trees also frame most of the holes. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few tricky doglegs to keep you on your toes. You'll also be confronted with the occasional water hole. Both your accuracy and short-game skills will be tested at Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane.

Oak Lane Golf course
The greens at oak lane are always in exceptional condition. Bunkers are odd with pebble type of sand but this doesn’t distract from the overall layout. The staff are always accommodating. Always enjoyable to play there. Fess can get a bit pricey with cart on weekends.
Great course!
Always looking for new courses to try out … this one didn’t disappoint! It’s absolutely gorgeous and well maintained, offering a nice challenge to a group of frequent but not expert golfers. Excellent facilities and friendly staff. New high-tech carts were pretty cool and they even brought out food out to us on the turn. We all really enjoyed the round and look forward to getting back there.
Good shape but grinded to halt on back 9
Got paired up with another single so us 2, only another pair ahead of us and had go rhythm first few holes. But after about 5-6 holes we started catching up to the 2 in front of us on next tee with a 3-some ahead of them that killed the time. Played front 9 in just 2 hours, but no sign of a ranger to push them faster and dragged it iut on a hot, muggy day.
Course was in good shape for the lack of rain, greens had lots of challenging slopes & were very fast.
Could definitely use some drinks/food in the clubhouse to not rely on the couple cart girls in the heat of summer.
Fortunately I got the hot deal with a couple promo codes to pay $39 by $70 is unrealistic for a mid-afternoon Saturday round
Slow play
Pace of play was very slow for a 8:30 AM tee time manger was driving around oblivious to his surroundings. There were full holes open between groups, never again on a Friday
Course was in great condition. Pace of play was slow.
Super Hot
Our group always looking forward for playing here because everything about this course is awesome . The tee box, fairways are in great condition and all the greens are super slippery.. The golf pro, starter and the golf ranger did a great job making sure everything was going well with the pace of play. The starter doesn't let anyone leave the cart area unless there's a foursome in a group and the ranger is always riding around making sure the pace of play is moving on time. They really have a great systems here. Every golf course should follow their system.
