Tired Creek Golf Course

Being from Michigan I’m not used to hard and dry fairways.I think it’s more indicative of the season .

This course was a pleasant surprise. I moved to the area a year ago and have only been playing a different course that’s a little closer to me for the last year. I talked to a friend about Tired Creek and he told me it was a fun course with a great layout and reasonably priced. So I tried it out and he was spot on. The lay out is awesome. Some holes with water in play, some lined with pines, and others that have some pretty nice houses along the sides. The course was wet but we did play the day after getting 3.5 inches of rain. The fairways are well kept and so are the tee boxes. The greens and bunkers could use some work. The greens are rolling about a 6 and patchy. It was sometimes almost impossible to put the ball to the hole on 30+ ft putts. Some of the bunkers are in great shape and perfectly placed in fairways and around greens but others they let grow over into land bunkers and some were filled to the brim with water. For the price I would 100% play this course again as it is more fun, in a little better shape, and better priced than the rival course I have been playing. With a little bit of money and work this course could be Exceptional.

I have been to Tired Creek several times now and the staff is always friendly and accomodating. Though it does have membership it has more of a muni feel. I think the one consistent issue I have with the course which can be controlled is the greens, They just do not get mowed often enough and there is never an effort to remove dew for early rounds. I have yet to play the course where the greens have been freshly mowed...ever. LOL. It would improve the playability and chances to make birdies and save pars. Each day I have played you just have to hit it hard and hope. A lot of the players are likely good old boys who may not know what to do and don't much care to fill in divots, repair ball marks, or rake traps. If you accept that and you want a nice day on the course at a decent price, this is a terrific option.

Great course and great staff. I love playing there. Other golfers are friendly and polite.

Everything was great, except sand trays were bare. Need more sand please!!! Course layout is good, GPS in carts may need to be recalibrated. Very fun course!!!

Greens were sanded, but true. Loved the course design.

Pleasantly surprised by course conditions. Carts have gps system and greens (sanded recently) were true. Nice layout. Fairways and Rough kept very well .
