We had a fun round today. It was hot, but we had a great time.
Nice course
The course is recommended in the Thomasville, GA information. Beautiful setting. Tree-lined, somewhat tight. Very little water in play; few sand-traps; length was a bit confusing. Usually at 6,200 yards, all the holes are short. Not so here:) Several par-4s at or more than 400 yards (from the white tees). I rarely play from the tips anymore, but this layout would have stretched me on 5-6 holes. #7 200 yard par 3 from the whites. Simple layout - back and forth through the trees. Very flat but scenic. The greens were "interesting". They looked pretty ratty, but putted fairly well. Speed was slower than I expected. It was a nice experience but I'll go to the other GN course in the area to check it out. All in all, a very nice experience. I hit several balls on most holes; everyone I saw was friendly, the clubhouse is well appointed. I'll probably play here again when we return to the area.
Country Oaks is amazing
It’s a short course but the layout is awesome! They were doing work on the greens on on the front 9 so I had to play the back 9 twice but other than that this course is amazing for the price and quality!
Fun course
Fun course to play. The greens are starting to improve.
Need rangers
I have played at the course many times over the last several years. Now they need rangers out on the course to enforce the pace of play! Not likely to go back anytime soon. It got so slow we left early.
Been better
Play this course often as I live here in Thomasville, however unfortunately right now it’s just not in good shape. Greens are puttable at best, and the tee boxes are fine…but my biggest gripe is the fairways. Majority at the moment is like loose soil as if you’re playing in a corn or cottonfield. If you don’t strike the ball dead pure it’s gonna be heavy - of course this can be mitigated if you’re a good player. The layout is decent enough for a muni, and they do have a good beer selection. It is a great place for beginners as it’s generally not too busy and pretty ego free. Conditions should get better as it warms up and the staff still works hard to make golf available to anyone in the area.

Absolutely loved playing here and will come back, great course layout!
The course layout was great but conditions were not great. It was well worth playing for the price we paid. With some better maintenance this could be a very nice and challenging track
Great and honest staff
I played with a friend and I left a very expensive range finder on my cart. they found it and called me immediately. this doesn't happen even at the most prestigious courses. I will be back
Pretty good Muni. One criticism.
Had a good time, didn't play well after driving 300 miles the day before.
Sign at Pro Shop states no passengers some days. Not mentioned on their website. If it was the wrong day, my 60 mile round might have been for nothing?
Is there a way to have that listed on GP website before reserving?
