Chalet Hills Golf Club

I wish I lived right on the course... Chalet Hills offers a beautiful setting, long holes, and an idyllic round of course... for a very reasonable price.

Holes, 5, 6, 9, 14, 17, and 18 belong in Magazines.

Not a course to go to if you hate waiting on every single shot....like every single one...i called the course 3 times to complain. They dont care. It is standard 5 hour round here. 4.5 is "fast" apparently.

Well maintained, usually too expensive

Booked a tee time then had to adjust to 3 golfers minutes after and Golf Now still charged me for 4 even though it wasn’t an issue at the course and we didn’t have a fourth that wanted to join us at the course either. Same day bookings should have some flexibility of going from 4 to 3 golfers. Guy at the course was really not very friendly and the course didn’t have a ranger so the tee box was jammed with people trying to get on before our tee time. It was a mess!

Courses need to have drinking water. I go through at least 64 oz of water on warm summer days. I could use refills.

This is one of the best courses in the area by far. Layout is phenomenal and very challenging. Condition is excellent, with speedy true rolling greens. No beverage cart, not even water out on the course, no ranger, over a 5 hour round. Pace of play is awful.

Difficult to evaluate. Course is ok but too many blind shots for my liking. I walked which was a mistake as the distance from greens to tees on the back nine was stupid.

No amenities!

I would rebuild the back nine to make walking possible.

One suggestion. There were many I repaired ball marks. Placing a few small signs near some of the greens might help remind people. Also some free ball repair tools might be a good way to encourage it. Saves a lot of maintenance staff time.

The course management goes a long way if you are hoping to shoot low. The course staff could do a better job of marking the 100, 150, 200 and 250 yardage markers as they are only in the cart path and most of the time you aren’t near there to see the distance.

If terms of the greens, the grounds crew staff need to do a better job of fixing ball marks as there were over 20 on each green that are over a few days old. I understand it is up to the golfer to fix that, but as we all know most golfers don’t.

The pro shop also needs to do a better job of sending out golfers. They sent out a 2some and all that did was drive around the course, drink and yell at other golfers. Not a great environment to try to relax when the staff can’t properly control their guests.

The course also lacked a lot of general sings on where the next hole was. On hole 17 there is a tee box right next to that one facing one green. They need to add better markers of where the tee box is for what hole when two tee boxes are side by side

We played mid day. Pace was slow. We had to wait on a lot of shots because group in front failed to keep pace. No ranger to enforce. We had fix our ball marks as well as many others. Many older ball marks were not fixed correctly. New carts were great. (gps not available yet)

Rough was higher than it should be however with the rain and weekend perhaps it was higher than normal. Recommend to try. Par 73. 3 par 5s on back nine

One of the most scenic and interesting courses around. Lots of elevation changes, doglegs, and strategically placed hazards. The conditions are fine but not up to the quality of the design. The fairways are good, but the tee boxes, greens, and bunkers are just ok. We were playing slowly but didn’t realize we were really behind pace until the ranger told us - on the 16th hole! Rangers had passed us several times during the day, without a word, and the group behind us waited briefly on only a few holes. The cart has a very comfortable seat and is wired for GPS, but the unit has been removed.

Great layout. Holes 9, 17, and 18 around the lake are all beautiful. Great hidden gem. Only thing it’s missing is a range and I’d play here every weekend

Need to pre- plan each hole in your mind. We played after a golf outing. So the tees were beat up. It is a challenging course .
