Course pace
Redtail is a great course, well manicured and very challenging, however we paid for 18 holes with a cart and due to the fact that the course allowed 2 groups of 6 out ahead of us, we were unable to complete the 18 holes in 6 hours! I understand trying to accommodate everyone, but I don’t feel we got our moneys worth and the course did nothing to try any keep the pace moving at a reasonable rate. We were only able to complete 15 holes because of this situation, which was very frustrating to say the least! I will still play here again as I like the course and staff, and I live close to the clubhouse, but I hope they can consider the situation and not allow large groups to slow play everyone in the future.

GOING DOWN
COURSE ONCE PLAYED VERY GOOD. GREENS WERE VERY SLOW. TEE BOXES JUST OK. FAIRWAY DECENT.

Red Tail is a Nice Track!
We played on a Sunday afternoon and completed round in less 4-1/2 hours, conditions were sunny, dry, and temps in low 90s. Course showed signs of wear but very playable from all locations tee to green. Will definitely play again!

Unbelievable staff. Course is the best I seen in 3 years.
And they are still working on it. Rangers keep pace of play going which is important to me. Love the food.

Bad experience
The experience we had with this golf course was not good. We started the round with the starter being very friendly. As we approach the first hole the greens were terrible. No one fixes the ball marks on the green and allowed several bumpy putts the entire round. We had to wait at every hole which is understandable from time to time with a crowded course. There was no ranger to help keep the pace of play. When we made the turn after the 1st nine we quickly went to the restroom while my son bought hot dogs for the group. We were not able to eat the hotdogs because the buns were so hard we couldn’t bite into them. The hotdogs were old and you could tell they were sitting there all day. When going to the next nine tee box we had a huge back up. The group that was in front of us the entire front nine were just teeing off and and another group was waiting behind them. Where did this group come from? Well, it was a group of young men that didn’t want to start on the front nine because they would’ve had to follow a women's group and chose to go to the back nine. We waited 20 minutes and the group of young men had not tees off yet or told us why the cut in front of us. I went to tell someone at the course there is a huge back up and they just said ‘I know’ and never did anything. We left the course after that. We missed out on an entire 9 holes because no one cared there was a problem.
We played this course because of the cost. We would rather pay more and have golf etiquette exercises.

Rude Cashier in Pro Shop
What was going to be a fun 9 hole outing for 4 friends, started off with a very rude man in the pro shop. We had reserved our tee time for walking. After he had ran our credit cards for a cart, we advised him we were walking. He told us we had to come back into the pro shop after our round to get credited. He blamed us for not telling him. When we returned to get our credit, our receipt had showed we paid $20 for the round and $10 for the cart. He said we could only get a $5 credit. He never apologized for his mistake and HIS rudeness. The girl at the bard was super friendly, another girl came into the pro shop to help him and was very nice as well. We ladies have been golfing in the area for a long time and have never experienced such a rude person .... he's in the wrong job!!!

No yardage markings, they are worn-out on the sprinklers .

Great course for the price
This course is one of my favorites to play. Not only is it inexpensive to play, but it’s also one of the best maintained courses in the area. The staff is amazing at Red Tail, ownership actually puts money back into the course by making changes and upgrades. I love playing here and will continue to play here.
