Brazell's Creek Golf Course

Last time I played this course it was only 9 holes, and that was many, many years ago. I knew that it was now 18 holes, but hadn't been playing much golf so I never went back. Now that I have, I'm glad that I finally did.

First, let's get the negatives out of the way...Reidsville, GA is a little hike from the Savannah area. Also, the range is not good. $5 for a bucket of crappy "beat up" balls. The mats were so worn out, most people don't even use them. They have a roped off area so you can hit from "grass" instead of the mats, but there wasn't much grass...and the "turf" was very soft and sandy. Not good.

However, notwithstanding the driving range, the course was in surprisingly good shape. The greens were pretty good, and so were the fairways. It's still easy to lose some balls, because there's some juicy rough and lots of "native areas" that you don't want to venture into.

I knew the back nine was different from the front nine, but until I saw it, I was still surprised...shocked even. Playing a links course like that w/o any prior experience, it's sometimes hard to know where to aim, but the carts do have GPS, which help tremendously. I didn't think I was going to like it, but honestly...it was better than I expected, and still fun. The best part about the course in general is the serenity...just quiet surroundings. A nice change from most courses.

One other thing...this is not an easy golf course, so pick the appropriate tees.

Overall, a good experience that I will go back and play again.

Course was in very good condition My only complaint is lack of rakes for the bunkers, I only saw 3 on the entire course

To start with the staff could not have been more friendly. Arrived a bit early for round and were able to start early. The front nine of the course was great. The only negative was the foot golf flags were too close the green and were a little confusing. The drive to the back nine was a nice long ride (wouldn’t want to walk it), The back nine was in good shape however most of the holes lack contour. Overall a very good course and well worth the money.

Challenging for recreational golfers and scratch in my opinion. Greens are in good condition and the course overall looks cared for. Best local course by far.

We were welcomed at the clubhouse with a cordial announcement and a smile! Course overall was in good shape and we will be visiting again! Great day of golf!

The layout is fantastic. But they had just punched and sanded there greens. Unless your there to practice. Probably shouldn't go until the beginning of August.

Course was just had greens punched. Of course that wasn’t made known when booking. Rates were still the same as usual and no discount offered. Couldn’t putt on the greens.

Been playing this course for over 10 years. They have made some improvements even though owned by government. Use of last minute tee times app makes it affordable. The pro shop was out of almost everything.

My hat goes off to the Super and his staff. This golf course is in superb condition.....much better than anything you can play in a 50 mile radius of Statesboro.

This was my first time playing here. The course is in great condition. The front nine and back nine are the complete opposite. The front is wooded area. After 9 you take about a 2 minute drive maybe longer to 10 tee box. When you are about to be at 10 tee box and come out the woods it’s like you are in a totally different place the view was amazing. What I liked the most is there was hardly anyone there so it ain’t take long at all to play 18

The course was in good shape considering how little rain we have had. I love that the front 9 and back 9 are totally different. The drive between the front and back is always an adventure. The board walk drive is a relaxing rest between the two. I also appreciate that they had cut and cleaned some of the out of bounds areas. It looked safer and easier to find your missed placed ball.

It’s well worth the money. We will definitely be back.
