Great day to play this course! Views are ok, unlike Royal Hawaiian. Photo submitted by demantony on 02/01/2020

Great course but slow
Second time playing here. The first was so backed up by the time we hit 18 we packed it in (4 groups on 18). Thought it may be a fluke. Yesterday was not nearly as bad however we were still around 4.5 hours. At no point was it painful but there was a lot of standing around. But hey, it's Hawaii, things are slow.
Beautiful course. Some of the best conditions on the island. Anxious to see what happens with the new owner.
Atypical golf course for Hawaii
Exceptionally well maintained course greens were best I've seen in Hawaii but can be tricky for first timers very subtle breaks
Beautifully maintained course
Like Turtle Bay, the things I love about this course are that due to the high level of maintenance performed, you're more prone to finding yourself with a decent lie, and the greens roll very true. You might not find yourself in a bare patch of ground your entire round, and the greens are about as clean as any you'll find on this island. Lots of water, but I didn't find any this round, so that was good. I intend to get back here soon.
Fantastic Course, Fantastic Facilities
This is a pretty wide open "resort type" course just like the previous reviewer said. There is a lot of water but it doesn't really come into play a whole lot. An overall very relaxing round of golf. The fairways and greens are in fantastic shape. Best greens I've played on the island so far by a very wide margin. Don't expect any great scenery out here, but the course is still very beautiful with all the ponds and how green everything is. The golf carts were brand new and had GPS screens inside them which was great because I left my range finder back at home. The driving range is really nice, although you have to hit off mats. The restaurant has excellent food too. After spending $140 at a nearby course, I finally feel like I got my money's worth (my review of that other course is on this site too). I found out about Hi Golf Guide through another review and paid under $100. Definitely check them out if you want to save a few dollars.
Stress Free Golf
Typical "Resort" type course with AWESOME greens. If you miss a putt out here it's your own fault. The course is wide open with a lot of water that looks nice, but doesn't come into play a whole lot. It's just a very relaxing round of golf with a pretty straight forward layout. Don't expect a whole lot of scenery, but do expect a perfectly manicured course. There aren't any elevation changes but many humps and bumps to keep things interesting. I'd play here again but $185 is a little steep. Call Eric over at HiGolfGuide, best rates I could find.
Excellent Greens
This course is manicured beautifully. Excellent fairways and flawless greens. Best greens I putted on while in Hawaii. Not much scenery outside of the course but plenty of water holes, although the water doesn't really come into play a whole lot. It's pretty wide open and suitable for beginners but challenging enough from the back tees.
Nice resort course.
Very nice resort course. Conditions were good even with aerated greens 2 weeks prior. Fairly flat compared to courses I played on Maui. Little pricey as still over $100 for afternoon round. Spouse rider fee is a turn-off.
Fun and in very good shape
Great clubhouse and tee gift is a very nice touch. Food in grill was much better than most golf courses. Course is fun and playable for all levels although we played in 20 mph wind which made it a little more challenging. Not terribly scenic but makes up for it with nice conditions and a really enjoyable design. Will be back next time we're on Oahu.
Playing in Paradise at Kapolei
I played Kapolei Golf Course as a single with my wife as a rider (extra $22). We arrived at a beautiful club house that is designed to be like a glass house - something you might see in an Architectural Digest magazine in the 1960's for mid-century modern style. We were greeted by a friendly staff member in the parking lot, who wanted to help me with my bag. Their pro shop was fully stocked with an abundance of inventory, and the bathrooms were really clean.
We ate at the restaurant prior to our round (great food and service). My wife had a burger, I ate fish and chips; both prepared to perfection.
Afterward, I hit a small bucket at their range. They offered some worn mats to hit from, without rubber tees to use (I saw some locals using their own - I had to fabricate my tee from scrap tees and golfer tape I carry) - a bit disappointing for such a high end place.
The course is beauriful with well maintained tees and greens. Fairways roll well, especially after an overnight shower. It was windy though as you would expect from Leeward Oahu. Followed a pair of Japanese tourists who played a bit slowly, but tried to hurry (always running between shots). Round took 4.5 hours. All in all a great golf experience.
Fast greens
I was warned of fast greens. they were right. I"m not sure I am a fan of the GPS cart. It hobbles the cart when you get to close to the driving range.... It was a fine cart otherwise.
beautiful and challenging
Great course with some tough holes. Greens were challenging. Lots of great water holes on the back 9
So far, the best on the island
Well, it was the nicest course I played so far. I have heard good things about this course, but hesitant to play, since I 've been playing for only seven months. I have to say I enjoyed a lot, and finally scored double digits. I would definitely recommend and play there again.
Beautiful Course
Excellent greens super course although slow at times
Pleasant day
I found a course in excellent condition and the pace of play was extremely good considering it is a resort type course.
Beautiful course!!
It was beautiful course!
Easy to find because near from Freeway.
Staff is very friendly and nice.
Many water and bunker but not so difficult and wide fairways, so it was fun!!
