The staff was absolutely amazing, the starter was very helpful in providing some tips before teeing off. The greens are elevated and fast. The layout is very enjoyable and scoreable if you put the ball in the fairway. This one is worth checking out! We had such a wonderful time. We will definitely be back. Maybe next time I will break 100.

Another absolute gem on Oahu. The staff was absolutely amazing, the starter was very helpful in providing some tips before teeing off. All of the greens are elevated, you don't want to attack front pins and be short as it will roll 20 yards back down the hill. The layout is very enjoyable and scoreable if you put the ball in the fairway. The greens were rolling nicely. Definitely worth checking out!

Overall:

Course is overpriced for the layout which leaves a lot to the imagination. No real memorable holes. Service is really bad. There are better courses on the island.

Very well maintained, fun holes a little bit of everything. Great to be able to play such a well conditioned course this time of year since I'm from NorCal. Come to island once a year to stay with in laws.

Staff was great from club house ,driving range to starter. Not the most difficult track but not as easy as some course on island. Open fairways but tough approach shots. Greens in great shape. Elevated tee boxes where fun and water hazards are well positioned. Water hazards are unquestionably the signature of this course. Plenty of people playing in the afternoon pace a bit slow. And food the course had at snack shack disappointing. Top of list to play again on Oahu!

Great course overall. Course needs to update their golf carts as we has issues with one.

Course is great condition, pace of play was fast.

This is probably one of best kept public courses on Oahu. The entire atmosphere, to include staff warmth, makes the whole experience a joy, no matter your final score. The course is challenging, with the back nine providing the toughest holes. Mix in 20 to 30 mph winds that constantly shift and, except for the balmy temps and palm trees, you'd think you were in Scotland.

Nice little course, a little on the short side, but not too short. Wind was blowing hard when I played and definitely added an additional challenge. Greens were in perfect condition. If you missed a put it was because of you not the greens. Lost a couple balls in some ornamental foliage that's near a few greens and rough. Wasn't a big fan of that, but I guess I shouldn't have mis-hit. Course is not too challenging and would be good for beginners. When checking in I had a few questions as this was my first time. The older lady at the counter was flat out rude. Thankfully everyone else was super helpful, including the starter and cart staff. Practice facilities were great. Will definitely play this course again. By the way this was the first course that had ducks and not chickens on it. I was slightly amused.

Played this course for the first time this past weekend. The fairways are in perfect condition. Bordering rough was not too punishing and the primary cut had very little in the way of bare spots.

The design of the course and the 20-30 MPH tradewinds the day that I played made for a challenging morning. Playing from the white tees. the course is a managable 6136 yards. Playing into the wind, your knock-down shot has got to hit the green. Many of the greens have false fronts, which check the ball up.

Greens were punched on May 10, so they are playing a little slow right now. Should come back nicely in about 2-3 weeks.

Service was excellant - I'll likely play this course again in the near future.

Kapolei is a beautiful and challenging layout with a lot of water in play. The course is very well maintained and the greens are impeccable, readable and will test the best putters with your line and pace!

We played as a twosome and rarely waited on the foursomes in front of us, pace of play was great! A super friendly staff greeted us upon arrival and again upon finishing our round.

We also enjoyed a nice lunch at the course. Higher green fees than elsewhere but well worth the price.

Even though the pace of play of a single and an awful pair ahead ruined my rythmn, I consider KGC to be one of the best in the state.

Course was in good condition greens were excellent. Not a fan of all the false fronts on virtually every green, makes it tough. Customer service is nonexistent.

My dad and I both sub 2 handicaps played in the afternoon. I booked the tee time online prepaid twilight rate $100 each. Range balls not included, but was in great shape despite the mats. The greens were quite fast downhill and super smooth. We played the tips and loved the looks off the tees. Enough trouble with lakes, bunkers, and heavy rough to keep you mindful of hitting good tee shots. Mounded fairways and raised greens made approach shots tough to judge and hit enough club especially into and crosswind. Super course! We will be back!

Kapolei golf course is an excellent facility on the Western Side of Oahu, very nearly equal to or better than Ko Olina.

The greens are typically reasonably fast, smooth with some undulation but not overly so. The greens are nearly all raised, so shots have to carry to the green to have a chance to be on. Most greens have 2 or 3 bunkers, sand is generally consistent with a couple of them being a bit on the hard side. Fairways good with few, if any brown or dead grass. Depending on when you play, if the rough has been allowed to grow, it can be rather difficult. Not many trees to contend with and a couple of water hazards that are not terribly difficult to play around.

Maintenance is excellent and the course is one of the best as far as conditions.
Staff are professional, friendly and accommodating. Good practice area, but you have to hit off of mats.

Negatives
Pace of play can be slow. The course caters to tourists and some of them find it hard to play a 4 hour round. The course has stopped having course marshals monitor play, so if you get behind a slow group, it's going to be long round.
Pricing is upper tier and management seems to not want many local players by keeping pricing significantly higher than nearby courses.

Only front one or two holes has little mud in the fairway due to heavy rain. However everything were very well maintained course. The course was not slow but overall pace was good enough. It was great game. Thanks

Second time playing here. The first was so backed up by the time we hit 18 we packed it in (4 groups on 18). Thought it may be a fluke. Yesterday was not nearly as bad however we were still around 4.5 hours. At no point was it painful but there was a lot of standing around. But hey, it's Hawaii, things are slow.

Beautiful course. Some of the best conditions on the island. Anxious to see what happens with the new owner.

Course is challenging. Greens are perfect. Maintenance is top notch.
