Beautiful course
Has challenging holes as well as great for intermediate players. Course was in great shape when we played in October 2024
Green conditions were horrible.
When we played, all greens were punched and so sandy. They didn’t even inform us nor offered discounts. Course layout was fine but overall course conditions were not even worth the money.
Too expensive since you have better choices!
This course is OK but not as good as it is priced. It was jam packed the day we played and the restaurant was closed for a “private event”. Which sucked for us since we were planning to have a post round lunch and drinks. Greens are in good shape and are fast. Problem is, every green is elevated with a false front. Hit it short at all and your ball rolls back to the fairway, hit it even a smidge long and it’s gone (due to firmness of the greens). No variety in that area, I think every green is like that. There are just so many better options in the area(with more variety) that I won’t return.
Enjoyable round
Course condition was great but green was slower than expected. Everything was in working order except pace of play was a bit slow. Having said that I think that’s just Hawaii in general as we’ve been having these 5 hour rounds here. I would recommend this course to anyone as it’s challenging enough from the back tees but also enjoyable at the same time.
Better than the Pictures
From hole 1 I was just in awe. Par 5 to start off which is nice warm up when they accommodate to an earlier tee time. Then the lay out is amazing nestled within hills and around lakes. Definitely returning!! A+++++++++
Scenic but diabolical course
This is a beautiful and well maintained that is defended by wind and numerous bunkers-some steep. Overall in good shape but could use some work on the bunkers. Greens are dead slow. Would definitely help to play it a second time!
Rough conditions- no longer Troon
Course has a nice layout, but the course conditions are not good. Rough had not been mowed in quite some time, and the speed of the greens was so slow, they were unputtable.
Pace was great. Played in 3:45. Bar and snack bar close early.
Two recommendations for the course staff:
Advise on the email tee time confirmations, you are in a maintenance cycle. Thank you for the minor discount.
Take Troon Hawaii off your website, and get off of Troon's course list. I was advised at checking, the course has not been Troon affiliated for several years.
Amazing!
This course was an A+. Everything was provided for a great golf experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The course was very well manicured. Greens were mint.
