Maui Nui Golf Club

We had fun golfing here— some of course under construction so a little confusing— no bathrooms at clubhouse a problem— only outhouse due to remodeling. Overall it was fun golfing here!

I've played Maui Nui probably 15 times over the past 20 years. The course has a great layout and a number of challenging holes. It's a fun course to play. Unfortunately, I have never seen the greens in this bad shape. Very slow, and some greens had patches of dirt on them, which made putting somewhat variable. Did I mention they were slow...

Course staff is excellent. Couldn't figure out why they were playing a temporary #2 (par three) and had #3 (old #2) reduced to a long par 4 versus a par 5, as #17 (nice par 3) was shut down even though it looked to be in perfect condition. I hope they get back to their normal layout and routing, and get the greens in more playable shape.

The worst conditioned golf course I have played in 10 years.

Maui Nui is not the place you go to expect ideal conditions suitable for an upscale golf experience. This is a public facility that is very busy with local players. Mixing in the amount of tourist play it receives obviously makes ongoing course conditions very challenging to maintain. This is a casual atmosphere great for practice. Enjoy Nui with patience and understanding of what you signed up for.

The greens were spotty but fairways and most tee-boxes in good shape. At present they've added a par 3 practice hole as they rotate holes for renovation. I had a 9 am tee time to avoid the typically windy conditions in the afternoon on Maui, but that didn't work out. It was very windy -- like 3 clubs on 5 or holes directly into the wind, Overall, it is a decent course and good value with GolfNow as compared to the Wailea courses which charge 3 or 4 times as much and are not 3 or 4 times better.

Course needs some talc particularity some of the greens.

Better than expected course condition. They rearranged course and couple of holes were shorter than it used to be.

Strong wind made game difficult but worth it to play and spend time out.

I would like to play again.

Not just an expensive resort course. Maui Nui was way more challenging than the Wailea courses, just not as plush at less than half the price.

Great layout. Course runs a smidge narrow in some areas which makes it’s a little challenging. Back 9 is more forgiving. Great time. Staff is friendly. Good for beginners and up.

This course offers great rental clubs that also include 6 Callaway balls. Beautiful views, but watch out for the wind.

Everything was as good as expected! Still waiting for hole 17 to reopen. Could use better lunch options! Cart girl was great
