Maui Nui Golf Club

This course has potential but is not close to equal to the other courses on Maui in the same price range. Really great staff. However, many greens are in bad shape. If you are using a GPS device to measure distance to the hole they are practically useless on most holes because the course must have changed quite a bit. Our device has never been off (++ 100 yards) so much on over half of the holes. The scorecards are rudimentary and show little detail. There are no bathrooms on the course. Hope this course gets major repair otherwise we’ll not be back.A lot of different skills of golfers on the course so play was slow.

Greens had very rough patches. Drainage must be poor because many fairways had significant damage from carts after the rainfall recently. One hole has been completely removed. I enjoy the course but worry about course management.

Due to the wet conditions, "cart path only" was in effect. No problem there.

The greens were very, very slow. This detracted from what is a nice course.

Course has some holes that are under repair and other areas that should be considered as “Under Repair”.

Course doesn’t have any ball washers on the course and management should consider putting some out there as there are some holes that have dirt areas and muddy spots.

A few “Porta Potties” Woukd be nice to have out on the course, especially on the front 9.

Course needs some attention to the greens which they are rebuilding every green one at a time

Played for a low price, so worth it. Course needs some cash invested in it to get an into shape.

If you look at the holes and routing it’s not unlike Wailea GC’s. but they are in superior 5-star shape vs “Fair” shape, at best.

Back 9 got super slow, due to playing straight into the wind for 6 or 7 holes.

We paid $109 to Golf this course. Same amount of money as a Dunes. The greens and the tee boxes were in really bad shape..

Great layout but conditions not the same on our last visit in 2019. Understandable with the Covid/fire situation on the island. The layout and variety of the holes is awesome. The patrons could use some direction in golf etiquette and course management. Power carts souldn't be allowed on the edge of the green unless a medical condition necessitates it. Also groups playing larger than 4 players and definitely not the 10 we had to watch throughout the day, should not be allowed.

i have most courses on the island and this course was in the worse condition of any i have ever played ( i have played about 40 rounds on Maui throughout the years. I got pretty cheap deals on golf now which made the conditions somewhat palatable but the bunkers were horrible with only half really having sand in them, the greens were pretty horrible in that the speeds were very inconsistent ( like about 5 different speeds) and several dead spots or different grass patches present on several greens. The only good green on the course was 18. the fairway on #15 was 50% dead with dirt patches and dug up leaky sprinklers all over. Potentially the long drought has taken its toll but to me almost all the greens need to be redone. The pace of play was very slow considering it is all carts. we waited on every tee box and every approach shot both rounds i played twice and both rounds were over 4.5.hours. there was no marshall to be seen. I wish this course luck but it needs a major overhaul in my opinion.

Greens are rough, flag placement indicator was wrong many times, score card didn’t match the distances, cart brakes didn’t work. Water coolers were empty. Slow round,no Marshall.

Like the covered driving range .
