Designed by Robin Nelson, The Dunes at Maui Lani is immaculately maintained and brilliantly laid out. It is a tribute to the great links courses of Ireland that more than one golf writer has described as a "British Open course on Maui." Stunning dunes dot the terrain at every corner, challenging the golfer at every hole.
In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, The Dunes offers the only lighted practice range in central Maui, with grass tees, fairway and green-side bunkers and a pitching and putting green, plus an air-conditioned pavilion. Also, when not on the golf course, golfers can enjoy a four-star meal at Cafe O'Lei at The Dunes.

Greens are pristine
The course was in fantastic shape. The greens were absolutely perfect condition. Very well taken care of. The front 9 is more open and the back 9 is more blond shots. The course overall is a great mix. Challenging for better golfers and not extreme for newer golfers. The views were great.
Marshall’s are lazy and course layout is awful
Don’t play this course. Pay the same rate and go to Ka’anapali instead. Not worth the drive and/or effort.
Nice layout, good pricing & value
Played first time. $120 a round. Greens & fairways were in good shape. Was impressed with the golf course. Played 2nd round again same day for $35
Golf workout
The course has many challenging holes with blind shots and elevated tees. They had aerated the greens a week earlier and hadn't mowed the greens or tees for quite a few days.
Nice Afternoon
Tough course with wind, a few tight holes and worst of all, INTERNAL OUT OF BOUNDS areas everywhere. If you play by the rulebook, you’ll hitting 3 from the same spot a lot.
IMO internal out of bounds shouldn’t exist on any course anywhere. Should be Red Stakes on a lot of the course.

The Dunes: Reasonable Rates and Excellent Course
My wife, daughter, and grandson had a blast at the Dunes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a bit breezy, but the course was in top shape. We’ll be back because the rates were really good for outside visitors who booked through Golf Now. We even got a 50% discount!
Great non-resort course
Well worth the trek. Course is in very good condition. Great value and fun to play. Need more water stations on corse
This course was beautifully maintained and the layout was fun and challenging. The Marshall was rude but the rest of the staff were great!
The course was in excellent condition with only a few other golfers. Therefore play was as slow or fast as you wanted. The maintenance crew has done an excellent job on maintaining the course and the greens were in superb condition.
