Golf carts in very poor condition. Last time played course in better condition. Will never play again.
The experience was pretty rough all around. The golf cart was on it's last legs and had to be coaxed to start each time. There was a wait at each tee box. We got to know the people in front and behind us. The course was not in tip top condition. Rental clubs were in sad shape. They'd been used hard and long for $50 rental fee.
Fantastic value and a great scenic round of golf.
If you are looking for a value round of golf while on Maui take the drive 'upcountry' to Pukalani Country Club. Don't let the club's name fool you, this is a locals course through a regular neighborhood. Forget the mental images of caddy's and car pick up etc etc, this ain't that kind of country club. This IS a great local course through awesome countryside that is a fairly easy/medium difficulty course. It was a fun round even for 2 first time players. The only negatie I will give it is that we were constantly being pushed by other groups to speed up play, being that we had 2 newbies we let several groups play through with zero trouble.
The golf value at Pukalani is fantastic. The views were awesome, and the greens were in excellent shape.
Course needs a lot of TLC
Fairways and greens were decent, but the place really needs upgrades, to carts, clubhouse, cart paths, and bathrooms. The port a potty on the driving range is a bad look!!
Fun hole #3 par 3 with 2 greens: over ravine or over a cliff. Twosome finished in 3:20!
Good value, old old carts
Could be a great course with some work and needs water on everything!
First timer at Pukalani
The course was wonderful, a little bit of a municipal feel and we liked that.
Nice course. Good value, and great staff. Traps were a little bare, luckily I wasn't in them much. The carts were old and rough on the back.
Nice golf course, beautiful scenery. Pace of play good, Marshall’s keeping players on track.
Friendly staff. Would place here again.
MOST RIDICULOUS LAYOUT EVER
Course is very run down starting with the carts, also asked about a cooler. Was told that a "bag" of ice was 2 bux? Really not only do you have to pay for frozen water they give it to you a plastic bag, not exactly easy to keep your drinks in. No beverage cart and the so called cart paths are sparsely paved and mostly rough dirt roads. A totally goofy layout with poorly marked directions to each hole. The fairways are very thin, the only thing decent were the greens. All in all a dog track!! Spend a little more and go to Maui Nui, the greens are not as good but far superior in all other aspects.
What a great course, friendly staff, excellent food and superb greens… Always a pleasure
2nd time around even better
Some great views, beautiful day, nice breeze, and playing all by my lonesome. White tee boxes run 6400 yards, blues 6800. Many holes distinguished by tall pines on each side. Green side bunkers had little sand, so this shot required digging in to make a good shot. Fairways were beautiful and the greens are large. I just love the course and finished the round off with a great burger. For its cost, I prefer Pukalani over all the other courses on Maui. I chose a weekday to play this second time and it wasn’t busy. I will definitely return and play here again!
Just a gem of a course carved in between tall pines and a few very colorful jacarandas. Large greens and plenty of wildlife to keep you amused. It is a course unlike the resort courses in the area and for the price, it is one of my favorite places to play here on Maui.
The greens are set a little slow and for me, hard to read. What appeared to be downhill was flat or even uphill! The biggest negative may be the bunkers as they have little sand.
Beautiful views. It was windy for my round and it made the 6400 yard white tees play all that and more. The rating from the white tees is only 117 but there are plenty of places to get into trouble. Unless you are expecting pristine conditions like Wailea, you will find this course a fun and wonderful adventure.
