Pukalani Country Club has a unique location at the 1,100-foot elevation of the famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name means “House of the Rising Sun.” The dramatic elevation offers breathtaking views that span the West Maui Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The golf course features wide, undulating fairways and fast, sloped greens. The gently rolling terrain can cause some tricky uneven lies. There are trees and well placed bunkers scattered throughout to provide further challenge. Pukalani Country Club has a unique feature on the par-3 third hole. The hole gives golfers the options of hitting to one of two very different greens, one which requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully and another that requires a shot beyond a cliff to a pal tree-lined green.

Fun course

Didn’t expect to have as amazing of a time, but it is fun course and the conditions were the best ever. 3rd and 14th were the most fun. There were so many bats it was crazy late afternoon. Would absolutely recommend when on island

Hawaiian Surprise

I booked this because of the price ($45 with a cart on Maui). I was concerned when we arrived, rundown trailer for a clubhouse and pro shop. However, the course was in good condition, the greens were excellent, the bunker were very good. It was a 60 minute drive from Kaanapali, pace of play was frustrating because of yahoo-ers, but it was Sunday afternoon and very inexpensive.

The course is in the best condition I’ve played on for past many years.

Greens are in awesome condition.

Fairways were in great shape.

Excellent course

Overall an excellent experience. Clubhouse was closed when we came around at 9 holes.. feel like it should be open till at least an hour from close. Pace of play was not being monitored by rangers. Got stuck behind 3 different groups. Had to skip 18 to have carts in on time. If rangers had enforced pace of play this would not have been an issue.

Overall excellent course for value. Would highly recommend.
