The classic design of Maui Nui Golf Club combines different elements including reachable holes that face each cardinal point with strong prevailing winds that reward smart play for a layout that is both fair and challenging. The layout wanders through the foothills of Haleakula, providing subtle elevation changes as well as views of the ocean and the surrounding West Maui Mountains and the volcanic atoll Molokini. The golf course has a variety of holes that will have you hitting downwind, upwind, and with both left and right crosswinds. A few lakes and ponds also come into play. Maui Nui Golf Club's layout features generous fairways and large greens. The difficulty of the course depends heavily on the speed of the prevailing winds that day. Golfers will be greatly rewarded by keeping the ball in play and good putting and chipping skills.

Fun track just needs some TLC

Played here many times. Always in pretty good condition with friendly staff and good price in the afternoon vs. other choices on the island. We played 3 times over the course of 6 days. Never moved the pin placements and never raked a bunker. Animal tracks in the bunkers increased with each round. Just a bit of TLC to move pins regularly and at least rake out a few of the green side bunkers. Prepare to play in heavy wind in the afternoon and get covered in orange dirt. Having played a bunch since start of Covid in FL.

The windows course I have ever played

Played the front nine, no wind, good conditions. Then you cross the street and the back nine is like playing golf in a hurricane. And there is really only ONE hole where the wind is in your favor. I was delighted with the front, then very dissapointed with the back. Even the course conditions were worse on the back nine, probably due to the never ending trade winds

Great last minute course to play with kids

Staff was extremely friendly. They waited patiently as we were 15 minutes late returning cart since I was playing with my two boys.

A lot of gnats and some holes smells but for last minute reservations and they had great Callaway clubs to rent, it was a great course to play.
