Really can’t do much better for the price. Tee boxes are very nicely maintained, and overall pace of play is great as well.

Great course. All aspects of the course are well maintained. Great bunkering, they show you the path. Greens are terrific despite what others might say. The greens have significant undulations yet roll both consistently and true. I do agree with a lack of off course amenities. The amenities were actually better last year at the height of the pandemic.

Hey guys it's me, Chuck Farley. I sincerely regret all of the nasty comments I have made about the course. I used to go on Golf Now daily just so I could respond negatively to a positive review, but now I see it's so hard going through life this angry all the time. I wish the course the best of luck in the future!

My only issue was that there was was no refreshment specialist on course and no water to drink. the only water cooler was on 1 hole and it was empty.

Also no gps or yardage book.

Course in great shape and greens rolled fantastic

My review is five stars this course is flawless. Maintenance does a very good job of taking care of this course. Golf carts could use a little updating but they are still good carts.

Hidden jem of a course in Lake Barrington with exceptionally well maintained tees, exceptional greens and open fairways lined with trees and of course small lakes to encounter. Good challenge for even the lower handicapper.

The course was in good shape, we finished our round in 3.75 hours. Last 3 holes we waited to tee off but other than that, it was a good round. If you have never played there-check this one out.

First time playing 6Hcp

Course fairways were great , Greens were true and smooth , but ridiculously soft. Chip shots left half a crater and forget a wedge or 9 iron into them , you’d leave half a ball in the ground to patch up. Bunkers were awful , concrete with zero maintenance. Maintenance staff was quite possibly the worst courtesy wise I’ve aver experienced at a golf course. Zero attention to what’s going on around them. I played early morning. Had one of the greens guys with the sprayer follow I’m the last 5 holes into the clubhouse , parked right next to green engine running while I putted , couldn’t eve. Wait til I exited the green til he drove on and began spraying.

Guys working on traps had zero regard for players on tee boxes or greens. One guy continued to bulldoze the trap next to green on a par 3 while we all tee’d off , then continued while we all putted . Literally one of the worst experiences of courtesy ever. I play a lot of early morning tee times so I understand playing around the grounds crews , but this was absurd.

Course layout is fair. I am about 285 consistently off tee , most fairway traps weren’t any danger . Course is nice little hidden gem with so much potential. The grounds crew and extremely soft greens just killed it for me . For price they’re charging I’d expect much better.

The greens on this course at one time were very good.. Now they are soft, slow and need a lot of help. It seems that the pins are only changed once a week. The course itself is in decent shape but it is now a daily fee course. The quality of golfers that are now playing Lake Barrington don't care about the course and hence they don't rake the bunkers or replace their divots. The carts are so bad that it is surprising they work for 18 holes. It is sad to see any course go down hill the way this one has.
