Saturday 5-23-15 AM Round
Course should space 4 somes farther apart; we waited on almost every tee. Because fairways are close together, SEVERAL of our shots were picked up by other groups, some right in our own fairway. Need course rangers to keep rounds under 5 hours as was ours.
Nice surprise
very pleased with the golf course in good shape friendly staff look short plays long
GREAT PEOPLE, COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE
GREENS IN GREAT SHAPE, GROUNDS KEEPED IN GREAT CONDITION, GOT IN TO NO PROBLEMS WITH LOST BALLS. HAD A GREAT ROUND.
Thank you very much for your feedback! We are very proud of our greens. We look forward to your next visit!
Decent value at $16
You know what you get here. Traditional parkland course. On the short side. Was in good shape. Good value but you have to be careful, sometimes if busy the pace of play can be slow.
Thank you very much for your feedback. Course conditions as well as Customer Service are very important to us and we take all reviews very seriously.
missing amenities
I felt that the course itself was in early season form. However, there weren't any portable toilets on the course. In addition, the lower level half-way house was not open. Also, there was no one to man the beverage cart.
Thank you very much for the review. As we have been getting into gear for the season we have been making every effort to equip the course with the staff and amenities to meet our golfers' needs. Our customers' experience is important to us and we hope you play Bloomingdale again!
coarse offers plenty amenities
The coarse was in great shape for early April. Staff was friendly as always would recommend Bloomingdale golf club to,other people
Thank you very much for your feedback. We look forward to your next visit!
Good condition For season
Played the course the other day. The weather wasn't ideal but not the worst conditions I have played in either. We pretty much had the course to ourselves which made for a very fast and enjoyable round without worrying about holding anyone up or waiting on every hole to hit. The greens were in great shape and have pretty much healed after aeration. Some aeration scarring is still visible but they roll pretty good. The fairways are cut to a desirable length and the ball sat up pretty nice most of the time. The only downside was the course was loaded with leaves. Quite a few trees out there and they all apparently decided to all drop their leaves at once. The wind conditions made it difficult for maintenence to keep up with the leaf pick up, so we did spend a little more time than normal searching for golf balls even when hit straight on the fairways. Other than that we had a great time and would definitely play the course again.
Nice municipal course
Really friendly people, good condition for late October. Lotta fallen leaves, though. What do you expect in late Oct.?
Classic style course
Had not played here in 15 years or so. Beautiful new clubhouse and the course appears to have been renovated.. Weather was poor,Rain and temp's around 50 degree's. The course played long, Numerous strategically placed bunkers and undulating fairway's make this course a nice challenge.
Bloomingdale Review
Old school course
Small tee boxes, small greens
Course in good shape
Not overly long but each hole has its challenges
Recommended for friendly Sunday round
Staff is more than accommodating
Try to play a couple times a season; especially when GolfNow offers specials
Bad Weather, Awesome course
This course, was definately a confidence builder. The green's were pretty tough, lots of two and three putts. Everything was well kept, the groundskeepers need a raise in pay for the job they have done. Unfortunately my brother and I got caught behind some beginners that thought they could only tee off from the Blue's thankfully it was only for 9 holes. I kind of wish the rangers would have said something to them. Otherwise we had a great day golfing.
Layout that makes you think
I've played at Bloomingdale a few times this year and I am really impressed with this course. It has an enjoyable layout and gives you many different shot options. The good shots are rewarded and you can recover from poor ones with smart play.
The staff is very friendly, there is usually a ranger on the course to help find an errant shot or keep the pace of play moving along. A member of the ground-crew even gave me wave and a smile earlier this year.
My only complaint are the sand traps. They always seem wet and difficult to play out of. Maybe I just need to stop hitting into the sand...
Golf at Bloomingdale Golf course
My opinion about the friendliness of the staff has changed. They are much nicer and friendlier and courteous.I lived in Bloomingdale for past few years and I do hope to be playing here more. The golf course was in good shape for the amount of play it gets.
AL
Poor judgement
Was enjoying the round until we got to hole 10 and the clubhouse let a 2 some start on the back nine which made the play very slow
Nice course
We played this course several times this year. The course is in good shape. Greens are well kept. Hole 11 is always fun to play. Par 3 across the water.
Not Worth the Price
paid $37 bucks for twilight for a boring course with beat up tee boxes and dirt patches on all the fairways. Greens were inconsistent and not true. Would only play again if found a great golf now deal. An alright course that is just not worth the price. Better off going to Indian Lakes down the street for about the same price maybe less with a golf now deal.
Always in good shape
My regular foursome plays this course whenever we can get a deal. It's a little pricey for us seniors, but we always enjoy the course. Join the birthday club and you'll get a yearly discount. The course is usually in good shape and if you hit the fairways, you can score. It is an easy course to walk if you prefer walking like I do.
Been a long time....
Haven't played Bloomingdale in a long time. Found the course to be in very good shape including the greens and fairways. The fairways are not bent grass so don't expect perfection but they were fine. They were sealing the parking lot so I had to carry my clubs an extra 150 feet but that was only a one day inconvenience I hope. The food staff (Ellen) was very accomodating and friendly. I will return sooner than later.
not bad for a straightforward 18
Most of the holes are the same, not too many variances. The refreshment cart lady drove past us 20 times until finally asking if we needed anything on the 17th hole.
Carts in good shape and grass well kept overall. A big storm the night before and the ground wasn't flooded at all.
Golf the way it was meant to be
There needs to be more courses like this one for average golfers. You still need to hit good shots to score well as there are bunkers and some trees to avoid,, but the course isn't as punitive for bad shots as most of the more modern layouts. The rough wasn't too thick, and the trees spaced enough for recovery shots. It's a course that can be played at a nice pace too, as balls rarely get buried out of sight in rough, and where there is water, they have drop area.
The course is nicely maintained too. Greens were firm and rolled well, bunkers well maintained, and not a lot of bare spots.
This is not a course you should pay big bucks to play. It's just a good solid course, that's very well run.
Thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the issues that caused your round to take longer than you would have liked. Please send us an email at bloomingdaleteetimes@aol.com to discuss further. We are always looking for ways to improve golfers' experience.
