Nice course
I have played this course for many years. It is always a pleasure. Just enough sand and water to be a challenge. The par three holes accommodate an intermediate golfer and the par fives are pretty much straight away.
Not long, pleasant and tree-lined
In fall, the conditions have been splendid. The greens roll well. While not a long course, the front 9 has still given me fits. So the course is short but not necessarily easy. (I’ve done much better on the back.)
Some complain about tree-lined fairways, but I grew up on the east coast with forests along many holes. No complaints by me.
Has a good, established feel. I’ll go back.

Don’t recommend
For some reason even though I gave this course a 2 star review it came up as saying “I recommend this course” I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND TBIS COURSE go somewhere else and save your money

Course is not Handicap accessible
You can't bring the cart into the parking lot and there is no one to take you bag to the cart. I personally have issues carrying heavy items and prefer to not.waste my strength on carrying weight. I want to golf and that's hard enough.

Unless u can keep it dead straight or are fine with moving ur ball from Behind trees good luck. Wish I went somewhere else, starter was extremely nice that’s about the only positive here. Would not come back
Wait...you hit the ball behind trees and the course is no good? ha ha ha
Wanted to expand on this, the course itself is decently maintained, but some greens do have a lot of dead spots. Also about $20 more for a cart, which usually I wouldn't mind, but I expect the cart to have a hopefully one of these, ball cleaner, club cleaner, gps, screen. But it had nothing so it seemed about 10$ to much just for a standard cart

Great value for a nice course
Always enjoy playing Bloomingdale. My buddy I played with got an albatross on the 18th par 5. That made the round extra special.👍

Hidden gem for public golfers
The classic Bendelow designed golf course reminds me of old school country clubs courses in Chicago. The course isn’t long by modern standards, but is challenging for all handicaps. It’s well maintained and balls are hard to lose in the rough and the small greens are easy to navigate without the country club speed. The hospitality staff are gracious and kind, too. The holes are within close proximity to each other, so don’t be afraid to yell FORE for the safety of others. It was a delightful surprise and I will be back to play again.
