Gorgeous View on the Second Tee Box Photo submitted by JBlissed on 06/25/2018
Really????????????????????
First let me start by saying the lady in the club house was very nice, too bad that were all the good stops. Got to course at 700 for a 732 tee time had a frost delay not the courses fault but alittle annoying. So the hour delay goes by then every one rushes offf the first tee. We were supposed to be the second group off, but guess wat on the last nice day of the year they have no starter. It was suppsed to be 70 and you really have no starter. So we finally got off about the 8 or 9th group. Then we notice they are letting people tee off on number 10 as well. I also saw a 5 some a few groups ahead of us. This was a ok course before but there are alot better out there in this are, Foxford hills, Chalet hills. Will never be back, learn how to run a golf course.
One of my favorites
I've been playing this course occasionally since I was 14. Now I'm 68, and I still like it. The greens are pretty slick and a few are quite tough to read, like 8 and 11. The cart paths, where they have them, are getting pretty bumpy. The rough gets pretty thick only a yard or two off the fairway. A few yards of first cut is needed.
Like many courses, they need more tees. They only have red and white. (The scorecard says there are blue tees, but I haven't seen them.) They need a set of tees for senior men. Make them gold or something. Put them close to the white tees on the shorter holes, like 2 and 3, and put them close to the red tees on the long par 4s, like 4, 5, 17 and 18. A guy my age should be able to reach a par four with his two best shots. And senior men will go find another course before they play from red tees. What's a set of tee markers cost. Can't be much.
The need for dedicated senior men's tees exists on a lot of courses. Make this change and you'll have an advantage over those other courses.,
Fast Greens
Nice course, fun to play a course with some elevation changes in the area. Lots of tricky holes that test accuracy and the right club choice. Not the longest course but still pretty challenging. The greens here are extremely fast, can't think of a time I've had a ball come to rest then roll well off the green.
Great course
This course was in great shape and was challenging. Would definitely play there again.
Love this course
Course was in excellent shape and you couldn't beat the weather for a late September day.
a nice time
One of my favorite courses. Forgiving. Many elevated tees.
great views great day
This course played very large with a lot of verying holes. The hills allowed for some great views. A lot of the trees are dying and need to be taken care of. Otherwise we had a great time.
great experience
My nephew and I enjoyed the challenges of the course.
Tough hole placements
I have not played there in a few years. The fairways are not too long and the greens are at 11, pretty fast.
Some of the hole positions are tough, have to be hit below the pin to 1 putt, otherwise expect to 2 or 3 putts. Overall the course is in good shape. We caught out to a 4 some outing at hole 12, it slowed down from there on.
Ladies Friendly
Play often with my wife and we love that CCC has a distinct difference between long and forward tees. CCC is our favorite of the 3 Cary golf courses.
Elevation
Some really cool holes and views on this course from high up looking down onto the fairways and greens. Will for sure play here again and I live over an hour away.
nice. lay out golf course
I like the course the way lay out.
Good maintain the course , I wish green has little more speed would be nice.
Rolling hills
The course is in good condition considering the weather over the past winter and the rain so far this spring/summer
Cary CC Hills
My first time playing the course. I thought the course was extremely hilly. Tough to ride, probably difficult to walk. I did enjoy the par fives though. The fairways where somewhat long, hard to locate your ball.
Would probably not recommend to a novice golfer.
It was different from most courses. The cart paths needed re-paving, a bumpy ride most of the time.
Would probably not play anytime soon. Nice scenic views.
1st '14 Cary visit
Was able to get a great deal for our tee time. Pace of play was very good. Course in pretty good shape, rough was a little long. Greens with enough slope to make putting tough. Staff was friendly, though short (no starter, rangers). Saw a family of deer (4 total). Weather was very nice.
Conditions
Condition of the course was very impressive, especially considering the winter.
Like playing Scottish highlands.
The moraines and gravel hill prairies of Cary provide some unique challenges for golf as well as unusual viewscapes. With the weather this year, I felt like I was playing in the Scottish highlands. I have played here twice this year, once in early April and once in early May. I was impressed by the great job the staff has done to get the tees & fairways green and well manicured since I last played. A few of the greens need some time to recover from the severe winter, but all are playable. I like the variety of play on the course and the new carts are another plus. You can't expect the staff to put leaves on the trees, but they deserve a lot of credit for the care they put into providing a wonderful round of golf.
Start of the season
This course is fun every time I've gone out and played it. The greens were a little bit beat up, but that's to be expected given that it just snowed about a week ago. Overall, the course is well maintained and I like the elevated tee boxes and greens throughout the course. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to play 18 on a fun course.
Played in Hail
First time playing Cary this year, and a new first. While the weatherman predicted good weather and 70, it was windy, then a sudden storm came up dumping hail on the course. Fortunately, 20 minutes later the sun came out and quickly melted everything. Finished the round in under four hour including the stoppage. Course was in good shape for this early in the year!
