Gorgeous View on the Second Tee Box Photo submitted by JBlissed on 06/25/2018
The Triple C Is Just Fun To Play
I've enjoyed playing this course since I was in high school. It's a sporty little course that's in good shape for the fees. The course is shorter and has a couple of short (#2 & #3) and quirky (#8 & #15) holes but the elevation changes and greens will test your short game. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. If you make the trip be sure to take in the views too. #9 tee with the autumn colors is one of the best in the area.
82 best score of 2015
I'm happy I scored 82 today! My lifetime goal in golf is to score 79 or better...oh so close today but it feels good.
Congratulations on getting one step closer to your goal! Let us know when you get there!
Cary Course
I could deal with the weed and feed on the fairway, I can deal with some of the greens not mowed and slow, but can't deal with roughs that are not mowed to the point of loosing bright orange golf balls. Not conducive to a fair round of golf.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate you providing your feedback on the conditions and we will address at the course. We hope to see you back for another round soon!
First and the last time
With all the nice public courses out there these days, why would anybody play this Mickey Mouse course? First off, it's a boring course that doesn't offer much of a challenge. I wasn't even hitting the ball up to snuff and I still shot a 77. But what mostly left a bad taste in my mouth is the fact that the tee boxes and fairways are in serious need of a lawnmower. They are both shaggier than all heck. They also need to do something about those 1980s golf carts. Not that they are cranking out the rounds to where they can afford to update their carts. With Chalet Hills and Foxford Hills located in the same suburb, I wouldn't waste my time playing this course again when I want to head to that area to play golf.
Thank you for your review. We did have lot of rain around the same time as you played, so perhaps the grass was a bit longer than you would have preferred. We do take your feedback very seriously as we consider it as an opportunity for improvement. We hope to see you back for another round!
Really like this course
For a shorter course, this is really fun to play. The elevation changes and the layout are interesting and they make you think before pulling a club out of the bag. It plays longer than the stated yardage. The course was in nice condition and the greens were pretty fast. I just wish people would fix their pitch marks. Not just here, but everywhere. I played pretty well and shot a 76, and considering it was near 90* and very humid, I was happy with that.
Thank you for you great review! We look forward to your next tee time with us!
Cary CC
friendly staff, pace of play good
Good on course conditions
Thank you for your review! We hope to see you back for another round soon!
Fair
Many up and down hill. Good values for the money. Not crowded.
Thank you for your review! We hope to see you for another round soon!
Way too much for online booking fees
Enjoyed my round. Course in good condition and staff very friendly. My problem is with golf advisor booking fees. I can't understand why it cost almost 11 bucks just to book the tee time. I think the cost has surpassed the value
Thank you for your review! There is a $2.49 transaction fee (GolfNow.com only, not our website) plus 5% of the greens fee are due upfront. The remaining 95% will be due at the course. We apologize for this inconvenience but hope you found one of our great deals we offer online only to offset it.
Grear views.
Course has great elevation changs, some very nice views, some slippery greens, challenging part 3,s
Thank you for your review! We hope to see you back for another round soon!
A Friendly Course for a Novice
This course has significant elevation changes for the area, however the greens are all easily reachable in regulation. Although local conditions have been very wet, some areas were far too dry with burned grass on the fairways. The greens were in very good shape. Pace of play was outstanding. Our foursome shot from 84 to 104 and finished play in just over 3 hours.
Thank you for your review! We are so happy to hear that you and your group enjoyed your round. We look forward to seeing you all back!
My Favorite place to play
I love getting out to play Cary. The elevation changes are an adventure and the views are amazing. This is so much nicer than normal "flat" golf. The course has a nice woodsy feel. Not pristine but well maintained. Have always found the atmosphere friendly. This is a great value for the money and highly recommended.
Thank you for the great review! We are so happy to hear how much you enjoy the course and that you find it to be such a great value! We hope to see you back for many more rounds!
Open Course
While the recent weather caused some water issues, the course was in pretty good shape. The open fairways and change in elevations were fun to play, but only because of the cart. Would never think to walk this course.
Thank you for the review! We are glad you had a fun round and hope to see you for another one soon!
Go Play
I played this course for the first times last year. I returned to play there a total of 5 times last year and I've played there 4 times so far this year. I live more then 20 miles away from Cary but it is worth the trip. I really like this golf course because it has quite a few challenges but the course is very fair. Let's face it, most players are not single digit handicappers. This course has some difficult holes but even high handicappers can shoot bogey golf on most holes. The greens are in great shape. I hope they introduce some GPS carts some day.
Thank you for your review! We actually do offer a free GPS that you can access from your smartphone if you visit our mobile-friendly site: CaryCountryClub.com. We are so glad to hear that you enjoy the course and have spent many rounds with us. We hope to see you for another soon!
great elevation play
I've played here before and actually it has gotten better all around. Staff is friendly, course was in good condition and the play, for it being fathers day was at a good pace 4.25 hours.
Thank you so much for the great review! We are always looking to improve our golfers' experience and are so glad to hear we are doing just that!
Beware of the golf/lunch deal!
I purchased the "golf with lunch" special and found that lunch meant "hot dog on a cold bun"! No drink or chips included. I don't understand how that was called "lunch". Cary should be honest to Golfnow promotions and call it "golf with hotdog"
The course was in good shape with medium fast greens. Play was slow with a twosome holding up a foursome holding up a threesome holding up us. No ranger anywhere to speed them up. Turned out to be a 4-1/2 hr round, caused by a twosome!
Maybe we were just unlucky or lack of ranger.
Thank you for your feedback! The Golf & Lunch Special runs only on Thursdays and is lower than our normal weekday rates currently. We see the hotdog as added value at no extra charge. We are very sorry if this is misleading and will discuss promoting it in a more direct way. Further, we apologize if your pace of play took longer than you would have liked. Please email us at CaryCCTeeTimes@aol.com to discuss further.
"Locals" course. Hilly.
Decent course in decent shape.
Good place to get in practice round.
Not too tough.
Hot Deal was $22. Good deal.
Don't pay more than $30 weekday; #36 weekend.
We are so glad you were able to come out and experience Cary Country Club! Thank you for the review and please come again for another round soon!
Interesting elevation changes
The elevation changes are what set this course apart from nearby courses. Layout is fair. Greens and fairways in good shape, rough a bit long on most holes. Pace of play was good.
Thank you for your detailed review of the course! We hope you come back for another round soon!
Paul
There have been many improvements made to the course since I last played it. Had a great time playing the course which is very well maintained. Lots of hills and mature trees.
Thank you for your appreciation of the work we put into the course! We take pride in providing great conditions and an overall enjoyable experience. We look forward to your next round!
Course in not your typical flat Illinois course
Always a fun course - eight elevated tees, and some great views. Hills you don't normally see on Chicago area courses. Moved well with only one very slight back-up on the par three 14th. Course was in very good shape. No restrictions.
Thank you very much for your review. We look forward to your next visit!
Fun Short Course
The course is short but fun to play. This is a great place to play for mid-to-high handicap players. A couple of the par 4s are drivable. Don't use driver on all par 4s because position is key on some of the doglegs, not length. Greens were in good shape but very tricky; that is what makes this course more difficult. I would play this course again.
Thank you for your great and detailed review! We are proud to hear you have made Cary Country Club a repeat destination for golf and we look forward to seeing you back for many more tee times!
