Issues across the board
I played there on Sunday for a noon teatime and the tees were backed up by 45 minutes. Every hole had 4 to 6 carts at it. Left after 13 holes and about 4 hours
Came back for an early teetime on Tuesday for an early AM round and the staff showed up 6:10 when the first tee time was 6 so we couldn’t even get started on time. Of course there are very few people there on a Tuesday AM but I would expect that staff is there well before the first teetime, not 10 minutes after it. 3 tee times waiting in the parking lot.
One of the other groups joked with the staff member saying did you get caught by a train on the way here and she replied no I just caught some “zzz’s”
All of this and the course condition is poor even for a muni course. It’s unfortunate because I think the ownership is the same as settlers Hill, which would explain the course conditions.
They have a small bar no issues there, but no driving range, no basic golf amenities like towel wetting station etc.

Great course with awesome pace of play!
It is my second time playing at this course since I moved out of IL. Very quiet area and not so busy course makes the round experience much better without feeling the pressure of playing fast.
The condition was great and weather excellent! Got back to CA and it feels like a sauna.
Course needs improvement
Like the layout other than hole 4
Just make a par 3 cart paths terrible and overall up keep needs to improve could be really nice with some extra care
Very slow play for a Wednesday with a noonish tee time. Sent off the back which is fine but waited on every shot the entire 18. Greens were chewed up and not well taken care of. Been playing this course since the late 90s and it was not in good shape! However, our late lunch/early dinner afterward was delicious and our bartender/waitress was great!
Need some investments in gounds
The bathrooms were bad, on the course and at the clubhouse. The golf carts were soaking wet in the morning. The course had dishevelled areas and I tripped and fell pretty badly. Was bleeding from the injury sustained.
Hughes Creek Great Value
Course was in very good condition despite the heavy rains. A couple of the greens had some patchiness and all putted slow but were consistent. Traps were in stage of renovation which made them virtually unplayable. Still the layout and condition of the tee boxes and fairways made it scorable but tough if you spray your shots. We'll be back

Hadn't played Hughes Creek in many years. Excellent value for the price. Greens were a little slow.
