Great Fathers Day!
Had a great time with son...shot his best round ever and pace was pretty good.
Cruising along then a dead halt
I like this place but won’t be playing again on a Wed. Played the first six holes in an hour then got log jammed at 7 and it took another hour to finish 9. Three groups were on 10 so we didn’t want to have a +5 hr round and left,
Maps
The course is excellent for the average to good golfer. Rick at the front desk was freiendly and a great help. The only real issue was not having a good map or picture of the holes. The course map on the score card was too small to read and there were not images at the Tee Boxes. As a first timer at this course, I would have been frustrated not being able to plan my shot on several holes wher I could not see the green at the tee box. Luckily we we’re playing with two guys that had played the course several times before. Overall a great experience, but could be made better.
Decent course, needs some work
Been playing here for several years and it's a decent course and lay-out. Not much consistency in tee boxes as some are nice, others need quite a bit of work. Back 9 far superior to front in terms of lay-out and golf course feel. Some traps could use some sand, like concrete in a few. Is what it is and nothing public west of Randall and south of Rt. 64 is much of a better alternative. Club house attendant/ranger needs a sense of humor, lighten up please :)
Hughes Creek
Great day for golf..fairways in excellent condition, ladies tee boxes all rough, spotty, uneven same every year, greens mostly good some with bare spots but to recollection some are that way every year.
Early in year but...
Nothing but candy bars and chips. 19th hole was roped off. Tee boxes and greens need work...hopefully they'll address that soon as it's early in the year.
A good course going to the dogs with poor maintenance
This course is under some private management and the course is being neglected. The cart paths are atrocious, fairways are full of bumps . The warm weather lately has helped grass growth, but this course has become a cash cow for the management. The front nine was unplayable due to standing water so we were asked to play the back nine twice.
Great game
It was a perfect day for golf, especially with this weather in November, The golf course was in good condition for this late in the season. Play was a bit slow because of all the people out playing in the great weather for this time of year.
Taking the money
This used to be a fun course because of the quirky layout, changes in elevation, and decent course conditions. In the golf boom over the last 3 years courses have had a lot of cash coming in to upgrade their course and infrastructure. Not this course. All the cart paths are crumbled asphalt. The tee markers haven't been moved in weeks leaving dry pockmarked divots. I understand it's been a dry summer but this course was like playing on concrete. Do they not have an irrigation system? There are many other courses in the area. I'll play somewhere else next time.
