A good course going to the dogs with poor maintenance
This course is under some private management and the course is being neglected. The cart paths are atrocious, fairways are full of bumps . The warm weather lately has helped grass growth, but this course has become a cash cow for the management. The front nine was unplayable due to standing water so we were asked to play the back nine twice.
Great game
It was a perfect day for golf, especially with this weather in November, The golf course was in good condition for this late in the season. Play was a bit slow because of all the people out playing in the great weather for this time of year.
Taking the money
This used to be a fun course because of the quirky layout, changes in elevation, and decent course conditions. In the golf boom over the last 3 years courses have had a lot of cash coming in to upgrade their course and infrastructure. Not this course. All the cart paths are crumbled asphalt. The tee markers haven't been moved in weeks leaving dry pockmarked divots. I understand it's been a dry summer but this course was like playing on concrete. Do they not have an irrigation system? There are many other courses in the area. I'll play somewhere else next time.
Home course
We have played Hughes Creek for many years, not as often as we would like. It is our favorite course even though there are others closer. It is always challenging, at our level of play, always a good day when we can go out and play. Staff is wonderful, always helpful, flexible and friendly. Thanks to all of them for making our golf experience even more enjoyable.
Great 18 course with awesome food.
Had a great time at Hughes Creek on Sunday with our annual foursome. Piece of play was fine. The coarse was in good condition and wait staff is very friendly. The Greens were just aerated but other than that, great elevated tea box views on some holes. We'll see you again soon. Okay
Recently Aerated
I understand the need to aerate the course and perhaps I’m a bit naive but the greens had a LOT of sand on them. The aeration holes actually cost me a stroke as my putt made a turn before the cup. I’m not irate or anything, I’m not awesome anyway. But for the money it was a tad disappointing as putts went nowhere and little mushroom clouds would appear when you dropped your iron shot on the green. Usually I like this course just fine but maybe wait a bit if I know it’s been recently aerated. People are great and usually a good time. I’ll still head back.
Excellent
Excellent course with many interesting holes. Normally in excellent condition. Recommend you play it.
