Legacy Golf course review
The course has grass fairways which is ok but the greens were excellent the staff was great and very friendly ..pace of play was great
Wow
So my 18 holes started off with an interesting rather frustrating scenario where a gentleman running around the course i guess for exercise picks up my shot on i belive hole 7 a par 3, its open enough and clearly im on the hole and playing. It was the most upsetting and confusing thing ive seen on a golf course, dude just ran off with my tee shot, i cant make it up. When i confronted the guy he threw me a range ball and continued to run away.
At the turn i notified the club house. Im playing down the back 9 now to beat an approaching storm about 45 minutes out. I was approached by a grounds keeper, he pulled up on the greeen rather authoritative, sure. After an awkward silence he spoke toward me with agression and conceit. He seemed inappropriately annoyed, sure my cart was parked honestly off the cart path sure, but in gravel, and a couple feet from the path nothing anywhere near the green, i was 30yrds behind the hole! He spoke to me like i was stupid. Approximately 30 mins later as its beginning to rain i started to responsibly(meaning not driving or parking the cart in muddy standing water)
utilize a 90 degree rule for i thought that was the point of the first lecture the grounds keeper gave me in the first place.
However i was rudly approached, blocked on the cart path and threatened yet again and insulted on the 15th hole by the same gentleman, in the rain now.
As if it couldnt get worse.
On the 17th or 18th hole was a random man with a bike cleaning 75 balls on the ball cleaner. Shouting things at me as i tried to ignore him on my 18th tee shot.
Complete mess
Great value
Played as a single on Sunday morning. Pro shop staff was very cordial. Paid $16 to walk 18 holes, great value. Here are the pluses and minuses:
Minuses- fairways and tee boxes needed to be mowed. There weren’t horrible, but it appeared that it had been several days since they were cut.
#4 iwas played as a 100 yard par three.
Layout was decent, but there were several holes with water so that was a challenge.
Pluses- greens were smooth and true. Very few ball marks. Really good shape.
Several Foursomes let me play through so pace of play was good.
Fairways grass, tee boxes and rough had thick grass for the most past. A few bare spots here and there but not very noticeable.
Flat course that is easily walkable.
Practice area was large. Plenty of room on practice tee and putting green.
Spectacular greens
Tee boxes and fairways need some work, but the greens are spectacular! Great value for the money
Course was in excellent shape
Best shape this course has been in since I started playing it. Greens were tough as always, but true. Fairways were tip-top. Not sure why #4 was shortened - has been all season, but no big deal.
Standard Course
Fairways are playable and greens are nice however, tee box’s could use some attention. I’d say $28 for a weekend round is reasonable but there is better for the price. I would definitely go back or recommend this to someone looking for a fairly standard course to play that won’t break the bank.
Best greens?
I don’t know where people are getting the “best greens in STL” . It must’ve been their first time ever playing golf. This place stinks way better value elsewhere. It’s boring, the greens suck, and it’s not even a pretty course. Save your money.

Best Staff & Best Greens
This is the friendliest staff of all of the golfnow.com courses I play in the St. Louis Metro Area. They truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome at their course / clubhouse! Greens roll the best of any and all courses I have played this year!
No fairways
Played for first time on Memorial Day. Everything was fine except the course itself. No fairways, all rough. Made mid and short game not fun at all. it’s a park district course, so non-residents pay more. Not worth it in my opinion. Lower prices or clean up course to justify price.

Course
The pace of play was fine. There were no fairways. Everything was just rough. Not worth your time. The greens were fairly nice but very slow. Would not play again.
