Situated on Chicago's scenic North Shore, Lake Bluff Golf Club has become a "must-play" destination in the area. First opened in 1968, the course has a classic layout with front and back nines that are very different. The front nine provides a gentle start. The terrain is mostly flat and the holes are straightforward. As you move onto Lake Bluff's back nine there is more up and down and consequently the challenges are greater. Don't get too comfortable on the first half of the golf course because you'll need your wits about you for the second. Trees line the narrow fairways and the tricky greens all slope in one direction or another. Accuracy is essential. Water doesn't come into play but the doglegs and strategically placed bunkers provide plenty of challenges.

Not worth the price
I’d expect the type of service and conditions LBGC offers from a low grade muni charging $25 a round. At $52, it’s tough to justify with so many better courses in the area for the same price.
Always A Great Golf Course
Played from the tips , always a challenge at 9500 yrds. Fairways are really nice for a public course . Greens are in decent shape , not slow , not fast . The rough was high which made things interesting . I really can not say anything bad about this golf course .
$68 dollars for this?
This was the worst course I’ve played in a long time. $68 was a ripoff. Then I lost $10 to book with the app…won’t do that again. I’d rather take a 5-hour nap.
Here and there but nothing fancy
Course pace was less than par but decently maintained. Make sure you eat before your round, and cart girl isn’t allowed to serve you anything besides white claws or cheap beer.
Worth it
Pretty course. Limited water an some decent bunker placements. Cart paths ate in rough shape. But overall good challenge and fairly priced
