About
Situated on Chicago's scenic North Shore, Lake Bluff Golf Club has become a "must-play" destination in the area. First opened in 1968, the course has a classic layout with front and back nines that are very different. The front nine provides a gentle start. The terrain is mostly flat and the holes are straightforward. As you move onto Lake Bluff's back nine there is more up and down and consequently the challenges are greater. Don't get too comfortable on the first half of the golf course because you'll need your wits about you for the second. Trees line the narrow fairways and the tricky greens all slope in one direction or another. Accuracy is essential. Water doesn't come into play but the doglegs and strategically placed bunkers provide plenty of challenges.

Staff ruins it
The manager was incredibly rude. The course itself was pretty decent. It’s not worth having to deal with him though, definitely won’t be going back.
Enjoyed the course. Was in great shape! I would play again
Good course, odd layout
I really enjoyed playing here. Course was in good condition, but it is kind of a weird layout. Hard to move from one hole to the next. Would definitely come back.
I enjoy playing this course
Over the last few years, I've played this course at least 4X/year. The more I play it, the more I like it. Already looking forward to my next round at Lake Bluff!
Good round
Course was in very good condition. Pace was a bit slow and no marshals on course but can’t expect less than 4.5 hours on a Saturday. Only saw beverage cart once entire round and halfway house was out of several items.

Good course and layout
Course layout is good. Pairing with two other players was favorable and enjoyable. Greens were super hard and hard to hold on approach shots. Greens ran true.
