About
Situated on Chicago's scenic North Shore, Lake Bluff Golf Club has become a "must-play" destination in the area. First opened in 1968, the course has a classic layout with front and back nines that are very different. The front nine provides a gentle start. The terrain is mostly flat and the holes are straightforward. As you move onto Lake Bluff's back nine there is more up and down and consequently the challenges are greater. Don't get too comfortable on the first half of the golf course because you'll need your wits about you for the second. Trees line the narrow fairways and the tricky greens all slope in one direction or another. Accuracy is essential. Water doesn't come into play but the doglegs and strategically placed bunkers provide plenty of challenges.

Fun course
This course will test your long game due to the various lengths of the holes you will use ever club in your bag it’s a fun text of golf a shot makers course that will keep you coming back
Nice course
Course was wet so it played long. However, in good shape had to play lift clean and place. Greens rolled true.
Best fairways
I played this course for the first time on Saturday with my dad. Our tee time was 12:45pm. The weather was great and the course was in excellent shape, especially for November. These were hands down the best fairways I have played all season. There wasn't a bare spot to be found and very few divots. I will definitely be back.
Staff ruins it
The manager was incredibly rude. The course itself was pretty decent. It’s not worth having to deal with him though, definitely won’t be going back.

Good course, odd layout
I really enjoyed playing here. Course was in good condition, but it is kind of a weird layout. Hard to move from one hole to the next. Would definitely come back.
