I really like River Bend!
The staff are extremely friendly and the course was worth the cost. It's a good value for what you pay. I look forward to going back!
Above average, but slow.
This is one of the nicer 9 hole courses in the area. Pace of play has always been a problem here and will likely persist as long as they keep their 8 minute tee time intervals, but it’s a very well kept course and has a nice mix of challenges. The course is very forgiving for slicers, most holes have a neighboring fairway you can recover from.
Not too shabby.
Course played nice, but the greens were very slow and had recently been aerated. Lots of balls stopped dead and bounced around on the green. Not great for putting.
Fun and playable
River Bend is a great 9 hole course. It’s fun, it’s playable, and it’s challenging! It’s in great condition and the pace of play was perfect.
We thought we’d have lunch after our round, but the restaurant is not open. The staff gave us a number of recommendations for nearby places so we still got to share a meal and relax.
18 hole courses are my preference but River Bend is a great option if you’re pressed for time.
Tight and dangerous.
Tee boxes are next to greens. Fairways have very little separation. Balls are flying at you constantly. Dangerous. Tough 9 hole with trouble if you don’t hit straight. Clubhouse is a waste. Restaurant keeps going out of business. Wish they had course wasn’t so packed in.
Travesty
This used to be a great course. It has become totally mismanaged. Showed up for a 450 tee time on a beautiful day course was overbooked with no rangers on the course. Waited almost 30 minutes past tee time. Ok, I can live with that. Pass of play was almost 30 minutes a hole!!!! Totally unacceptable. Barely got 6 holes in when it got dark. Clubhouse was closed when we cam off the course. Cross this course off my list.
Okay course
Was extremely slow. 3 hours for 9 holes. And was constantly under assault by errant shots from other holes as the layout is extremely close together.
Good course
Great value for course and great course conditions. Pace of play was pretty bad. Not sure if it was due to lots of beginners or just poorly managed. Didn’t see the ranger out there pushing the pace so maybe that would have helped. To be fair we played with 3, but groups of 4 in front of us were still behind pace as well. Still would return though because of the value.
Nice 9 hole course

Pace of Play was Brutal
Don’t know what it was but the pace was brutal on a Friday. It should not take 4 hours to play nine holes!!!
Hot hot hot
Hot, and humid! Starter reminded us to take water, already had plenty. Cart girl Ellie, working hard took care of whole course! Came by often! Great job!
Play early or mid day during week
Of course, was OK but play was very, very, very slow and for some behind us was so obnoxious they apparently were never taught golf etiquette
