About
Old Oak Country Club is situated only 20 minutes from Chicago, but the beautifully wooded terrain shaded by mature oaks and hickory trees, makes it feel as though it's much further away. Originally opened in 1926, the golf course is one of the area's oldest and even one of the oldest in the state. It has undergone many renovations over the years but it still retains its classic character. The layout offers plenty of variety with drivable par 4s and lengthy par 5s. The rolling topography provides many of the golf course's challenges, from the rolling fairways and undulating greens to the elevated tees and blind shots. Mature trees tower over the fairways, adding another tricky element to the golf course. Old Oak Country Club is challenging but fair and still quite playable, which is why it has long been a local favorite.

Great layout and in great shape!
Loved the course, twilight after 3 is a great deal!
Great Course for the Money
Great course for what they charge. The layout is challenging, but approachable for a range of skill. Always in great shape and keeps you coming back for more. Its an older course which adds to its appeal. Great practice pitch and putt areas to reign in your short game.
Challenging course in great condition.
Everything about this course was great except for the starter. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition. The cart girl Becka was amazing! The starter was a cranky guy who just seemed to be unhappy to be there. Other than the starter acting like a jerk, this course was really great.
Tight course
This course is a tight course that requires you to hit straight. Tree lined fairways can interfere if you have a draw or fade. So place it right. Greens were running true and speed was about a 9. Overall 1st time playing the course, I will return to improve my score.
Best course for money
Best $40 course I ever played!! Seriously love the layout and always in great condition!
They do not honor GolfNow
I booked this course and paid the GolfNow fee online, and the GolfNow fee of $104.00 was due at the course. When I got there the super ignorant attendant in the pro shop indicated they do not have to honor GolfNow and I owed and extra $50.00. We argued for about 10 mins and he finally broke, but still charged me incorrectly. As I was leaving he rudely told me "we are not Golfnow buddy", next time book through us. Extremely poor service, and GolfNow should not be advertising with this course.
Great Course - Unfriendly Staff
I loved playing this course, but unfriendly staff made the experience as a whole not enjoyable. Immediately started off with rude pro shop worker on the phone and then once again when we arrived at the course. Phil I think his name was. Will not be returning.
Great value especially twilight I’ve played the course about 10 times a year and seen the money they’ve put in the place really worth the money most holes are different
