Great
Great value and the course is in tip top shape. Have played many northern Illinois courses and this is one of the best.
1st time playing Steeplechase
I really liked this course. Look forward to playing again now that I know the course. Interesting holes. Starter was great.
My only complaint was the pace. We were told through the screen on the cart that we were slow. Eventually the screen message was that we could be forced to skip a hole by the course marshal.
We almost always hit our first shot with a group waiting to hit their second shot and a foursome on the green. Finally after the 14th and 3.5 hours we drove pass the threesome in front of us and the foursome on the green and went to the next tee box. Wide open course. Why didn't the course marshal do something about the foursome that caused the unbelievably slow play?
This course is great
Had a good time out on this track. Fairways are in good shape. You will have to hit a few blind shots so be sure not to hit into the group in front of you. Greens are extremely fast but they roll true. Overall a great course and worth the trip.
Great course
The course is tough but fair….. making is a great course for all handicaps . Excellent condition and the greens roll really well
Golf at Steeple Chase during peak time
This was an excellent price for play at this beautiful course. However playing this way was not the best experience for me. By booking this tee time with pre-pay, we were paired up with another twosome. We had different levels of skill so it felt pressured rather than the reason I was there in the first place, that is to relax. The course was fully booked so we were also under pressure to move at a fast pace. I would not play Steeple Chase this way again.
Excellent course but lower the price
Always has been a good course nut $48 for seniors on a weekday is pricier than most. Lower it and get more players.
Great track for the money
I’m very particular when it comes to course conditions, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They don’t have a range, but the hitting net is enough to limber up before the round. Be sure to practice those downhill putts, because on the course they can be treacherous. Enjoy!
