Putting Green
That’s exactly where you should start before your round. If you don’t, that’s on you… there will be many three putts in your future. Course is in very good condition and the greens, today at least, were at a twelve. Tip: leave the ball below the hole - above it will run to front of green or even off.
Still Terrific After All These Years
I haven't played here in 16 years but the course is in even better condition than I remember. From tee to green, the conditioning is great. Despite having had a severe storm over the area in the AM, we had no difficulty playing in the afternoon except the traps were in tough shape. Greens are really exceptional for a public course where many players don't know enough to repair their ball marks.
If your looking for a challenging round of play this is your place
Great course for the value
Highly recommend
1st time playing Steeplechase
I really liked this course. Look forward to playing again now that I know the course. Interesting holes. Starter was great.
My only complaint was the pace. We were told through the screen on the cart that we were slow. Eventually the screen message was that we could be forced to skip a hole by the course marshal.
We almost always hit our first shot with a group waiting to hit their second shot and a foursome on the green. Finally after the 14th and 3.5 hours we drove pass the threesome in front of us and the foursome on the green and went to the next tee box. Wide open course. Why didn't the course marshal do something about the foursome that caused the unbelievably slow play?
This course is great
Had a good time out on this track. Fairways are in good shape. You will have to hit a few blind shots so be sure not to hit into the group in front of you. Greens are extremely fast but they roll true. Overall a great course and worth the trip.
