Better than last time
Much better condition vs last time I played in August. Sand traps now have some sand!!
Great Track
Greens are still in fantastic shape for and October round!
Very challenging and well maintained course.
Staff are friendly; Course is well maintained and layout is somewhat challenging. Beautiful view with trees leaves changed and water ponds nearby!!
Great trac
Pleasantly surprised at the fine condition of the course.
Entire course was in superb shape. Greens were excellent, fairways tremendous, even the rough was manageable. Combined with great Golf Now listing, nothing but the best of rounds. Always enjoy at day at one of Lake Counties finest..
Wonderful track to play
Really nice golf course with the quickest greens of the year to date. The layout is really interesting and challenging, but absolutely gorgeous course. I traveled about 50 minutes to get there, but it was well worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Good staff there and good feel for the game of golf. Must play again.
Greens are tough
This course is very challenging. Greens are very fast and lots of breaks. Greens were pretty hard so the ball really takes off. Beautiful course though and well worth the money. Highly recommend
Fun course, disappointing pace
There were no rangers patrolling the course to keep pace moving. The group ahead of us was dismal, playing tees way too far back for their skill level and paid no attention to the traffic jam they were causing. The course is in great shape, layout is challenging but fair.
1st timer...
This was my first time playing this course and I loved it! I love the GPS in the carts. The course was in great condition and every employee I talked to was positive and helpful. I can’t wait to play there again!
Great beautiful course
Slow your roll...
Great day at Steeple Chase today. The course played fair with little wind. The greens were super fast in the early am and just got faster. Find the fairway and you have an opportunity to score - but only if you can hold the green. No driving range to warm up (hitting nets) but the practice green is where you spend all of your time pre-round anyway.
Congrats on a fantastic job by the staff.
Humbling
It was a humbling round at Steeple Chase. It you like fast greens this is the place for you. However you never want to be behind the hole. The layout was nice with open holes and it’s a real test for club selection and course management. It would of been nicer if the pin placements were in flatter areas of the greens to boost the average golfers confidence but that’s golf and we all struggle sometimes.
