About
Foss Park Golf Course has a convenient location in North Chicago that is an easy drive in from the city. It's a public course that is known amongst locals for being one of the area's best golf values. The layout is wide-open save for three holes that are framed by towering mature trees. The golf course strikes a good balance between being challenging and playable. The fairways are narrow and demand accuracy but the massive greens are more forgiving. Each hole offers a variety of different playing options, which makes the course appealing to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course has plenty of sand, plus water hazards come into play on several holes. There is also a driving range and large practice putting green available at Foss Park G.C.

Players are to blame I think.
Staff and course are fine. The players are of a different breed. Poor etiquette. Pace was slow which I didn't mind that day as I was working on stuff but still, need to be understanding.

Nice course mean staff
I arrived 20 min prior to tee time but they would not let me check I . They said they were on a frost delay so they would wait to check Everyone in after the frost delay why?
One the frost delay was over I asked if we could start on the back because 15
People were waiting to tee off the front the man working as the starter was aggressive and said absolutely not.
So we Waited an 30 min to tee off.
The play was slow and remember to bring 5 dollars for the key deposit you get it back after you 4.5 hour round if you remember

SLOW
Arrived to 3 foursomes on the tee, played back nine first thanks to starter. When I finished back nine in about an hour and a half, 4 foursome waiting on first hole. Quit and went home...

I don't recommend this course
Specialy when your used credit card, You should ask them why need charge extra fee. If you frepaid already or the other one, Dont give them your credit card. They don't give to refund money

Worst management and worst course managing.
People who work there did not know anything about golf. They just easy working young people. Reception in golf shop does not know about score card. Golf cart guy does not provide cart on time... starter is young guy who smoking at starting point and just checked name and make play person, not by scheduled time... no ranger some people just playing same hole turn around turn around... I will not play anymore with this course.

There were no carts available, 16 were in disrepair .There was no starter or staff control on the course. When we were finally given a cart we were sent off the tenth without tine to warm up or practice putting.
Thunderstorms ended our round after nine holes, and when we asked about a rain check, the staff replied “We don’t issues rain checks based on weather”!
We are never going back there.

Turtle Central
Terrible outing. Tee boxes were so long you needed 4 inch tees. Course wasn’t in bad shape just tee boxes were too long or too fluffy. The REAL ISSUE IS PACE OF PLAY. UNLIKE ANYTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN. There was a Six-some on 1 green and literally 4 groups on another hole from tee to green. I took pics but I can’t upload here.
