Always An Enjoyable Experience
Oak Brook has always been at least a cut above your average muni, and it still is, although I found that the course conditions weren't quite up to those of previous seasons. The course layout provides great variety and the greens are particularly challenging. Playing here is always an enjoyable experience and now the clubhouse and patio have been remodeled for an even better 19th hole. And finally, the food is still great.
Good local course
Nice course, pace of play was a little slow at times on the back but only because two more people joined the twosome ahead of us at the turn. The course was in good shape - no complaints. Our round was 4 hours 15 mins so all in all good pace. We didn't order food but the menu looked good. All in all a good day.
Oak Brook
Decent course with a great range and practice facility. The club house is very good with a full restaurant and bar., The staff is very professional and super friendly. The course was in decent shape for the large volume of play it receives.
Great conditions
course in great shape, greens were meduim fast. Had rakes in traps, water for golfers. Overall conditioning was very good. Pace a little slow but not terrible. Carts were nice. Fair test for mid to low handicappers.
Oak Brook Golf Club
The course is in excellent condition. After the rain, yesterday, the greens were really receptive and held the balls nicely. The rough was very easy. Must have been mowed, low, recently. They've gone to 8 minute intervals, and the course had a lot of walkers, so the pace was slow. First nine took 2 hours and 20 minutes. The back nine 10 minutes less so manageable. We enjoyed the course, and the day, very much except for the somewhat slow pace. Oak Brook has matured, wonderfully, over the years and is a good test for handicappers in the teens.
First Time Playing - A Great Walk !!!
I have driven past Oak Brook Golf Club for years and today was my first time playing the course. This was a great layout that was fair but tough. The course was setup for their club championship so I got to experience faster greens and tougher hole locations that usual I was told. Bob the Starter was very knowledgeable and friendly!
I must play in my opinion.
Great course
A beautiful course, greens were in good condition. Some water hazards but overall a great course to play.
Oak Brook Golf
Greens a little bumpy and slow. Overall, course was in good condition.
Great course just a little too pricey
We love playing Oakbrook. It’s always in great shape and a joy to play. Also has great range, chipping area and putting green. Top notch for sure. On days when we are not playing, my son and I have been coming here to get a workout in either hitting balls at the range and/or chipping and putting. We will spend a couple hours working on our game. The only 2 negatives are the extremely high green fees and the pace of play. Other than that, one of the best courses in the area.
Course and staff
They go all out to make sure you’re
Happy... Enjoy playing there.
