Oak Brook Golf Club

First time playing here and it was great. The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape. Some of the greens left much to be desired. I spent a good amount of time fixing divots left by others on many of the greens. Pace of play was great as me and the two others in my group finished in just over 3 and a half hours. Friendly rangers and the pro shop staff were great. The scenery at the course was beautiful, as many of the holes had nice flowers bed surrounding them. I’d recommend this course for any golfer.

Always a challenging course with water, traps and large greens. Make sure your putter is working!

Good course good challenge and Food is good all made fresh. Slow round today almost 5 hrs. Generally not this slow should be no more than 4 hrs. Maybe consider some marshals to help keep a better pace on the weekend.

Is it that hard to let prospective golfers know you are having an outing that day? There were groups in front of us who quit and I’m glad they did otherwise our five hour round would have six. I’m disappointed in the lack of communication.

So I kind of consider this my home course even though it's miles away, I like that they offer a grass range, delicious clubhouse food which you can order from a phone box on the ninth tee....

Overall I would give this place 5 stars with one exception....it seems to me that in order to be hired for the starters position you have to have the following three qualifications:

1. Be rude or grumpy

2. Don't know how to properly pair up couples with singles, with walk ons

3. Hold some grudges against those that are up on the tee box, either because they are playing, they are cubs fans, or whatever they feel disliking about you on that day

Other than that the place is fantastic...inside everyone is respectful and I'd say the most respectful are the rangers on the course.

I wish they brought down their rates a but because there are still other options in the area that are just as good like Willow crest

It's a great course. Hard to get on - make your tee time in advance

Nice layout 2 completely different 9’s. Greens are tricky you need to stay below the hole if possible. Breakfast sandwich was very good and reasonable.

Copious amounts of doglegs that are far too sharp, a few trees too close to the front of the tee box in the middle of the necessary shot trajectory

Tis only April during a late spring however the course is in great shape. The sand traps are in good condition. The greens are fast. It is a few shekels more than other local courses however the place is always in great shape.

for this time of when the grass is dorment they rolled the greens . It was like putting on a pool table! which would have been awesome if 1 green was flat ! Very challenging pin placements all round. Had a great time.

Course held up well after several inches of rain . Very pleased with greens after 10 day aeration.25 dollars on golf now . Great deal. Great time.
