Good enough course, for not a lot of money
There were bare spots on the greens; otherwise the course was in decent shape.
Course is just OK
The course is extremely short. Par 65. It felt like I was at an oversized putt-putt course. Holes are extremely close together and on each hole, balls were flying onto our hole. On each hole! I was certain we would get hit! Haha. Only 1 par 5 for the whole course and about 9 par 3s.
Overall I was pretty disappointed with the course layout.
The staff was amazing though! Super friendly guys!!
If you are a beginner, this is the course for you. If you're looking for something more challenging and scenic, I would suggest traveling down the road.
You can tell that a lot of people that play this course, did really care about the course. Tee boxes were covered in divots. The bunkers looked like a weekend at the beach (not groomed), and the greens were peppered with ball marks and on about 8 of the greens, you could tell people were through stakes into the green, stepping on balls to create a 2 inch deep hole and half of them were covered in diseased grass.
I don't think I would play this course again unless someone else is paying.
If this was my first time golfing I would never go golfing again in my life.
I recently had the misfortune of playing a round here and it was an experience I wouldn't wish on any golfer. The fairways were in horrendous condition, with patches of dirt and weeds scattered throughout. It felt more like playing in a neglected field than on a proper golf course. The greens were even worse, riddled with divots and bare spots, making it nearly impossible to get a true roll on putts. The maintenance of this course is clearly lacking, and it severely impacts the overall enjoyment of the game. I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money here. There are far better courses in the area that actually take pride in their upkeep. Hot deal was a highway robbery of money that I’ll never get back. It’s a travesty that the mayor of Oaklawn doesn’t shut this course down and use that land for a public benefit. Nevertheless tee times were so squeezed in I could have built a house by the time we finished the round. Overall terrible course!!!!!
Bro course
Between all the kids drinking, groups playing loud music, guys peeing everywhere, and no dress code this place is lame. It is a low budget course for kids.
Great Course
Overall really great experience. Great mix of Pars 3,4, 5s
Staff is incredibly friendly and greens were solid.
Carts are little dated
Tee boxes are little beat up
Would Come back many times
Average course for the price! Self Inflicted
For a par 65 it’s a bit overpriced for 18 with a cart. Overall the pro shop staff were really nice along with service staff on the cours!, Starter was a bit too much early in the AM and focused on wrong things in regards what was expected vs non substantial ( did we pay vs course etiquette.. mind you in was pre-paid onGolfNow). Course is challenging on some of the par 4s otherwise not too exciting. Be prepared to dodge stray shots by other golfers we almost got hit more than once in the round with no warning.. was hit up ok by behind group a few times although probably not intentional and pace of play stayed ok through first 14-15 holes but then slowed significantly last few.. No rakes at nearly all bunkers but maybe 1 or 2 holes.. luckily I stayed out of them but was disappointing to see bunkers in that shape. No one repairs ball marks on the green which is also disappointing and made it hard to putt on many greens. I would expect to pay 25-30 a round for a course like this but paid 50.. probably won’t return unless price drops significantly.
Fun Course
Played over the holiday weekend, so we expected a little crowd. They really could use a ranger on these days to prevent players playing multiple balls. It really clogged things up. Also, we just wanted to play 9 holes, but the reservation only allowed 18 holes. I don't know if that is a holiday rule, or if it is the norm. I didn't appreciate paying double.
