Fox Bend Golf Course

I have been golfing at golf bend since 1985. Wonderful course for the value and difficulty. Reasonably priced.

The course was in decent shape with the exception of the bunkers. Very little sand. Highly compacted dirt sand combo. No water coolers on the course on a very hot day. Pace of place was pretty slow also. Waited on several holes. They allowed a fivesome in front of us. Not sure if I'd go back. Plenty of other options out there.

Figured after a year, the temporary greens would be gone. Not so. The repaired greens looked in good shape too. For $50 for the round it wasn't worth it. In some areas the fairways were cut really short and were dry and brown. Driving range restricted to hitting on mats, which I hate.

Played only 9 holes and 2 holes had temp greens in fairway. Nobody in store said anything

Course was in nice shape. Tee box’s close to cart path. Has nice driving range and putting green. Course has nice pro shop and restaurant. Staff very friendly. Always meet very nice people to play with. Also had beverage girl working. 3 greens are temporary but are almost ready for play.

Fox Bend was a great course for me, as it has wide open fairways and just enough water to keep me humble but not frustrated. It was challenging enough for me to make it fun but not overwhelming. It was disappointing to have three greens under construction and having to use temporary greens, but not a deal breaker. It was hard to know where those greens were when hitting to them, and putting was more difficult, but again, not a deal breaker. The regular greens were more contoured than they looked, which made putting rather challenging. Fox Bend gave us a fun yet challenging round of golf and we would play here again. Pace of play was really quick and we finished 18 holes in 3.5 hours.

Need a little more help in the bar restaurant

They have 3 greens under construction which is what it is because it has to get done at some point. But the fact that they still charge full price is absolutely ridiculous and they don’t give you any heads up when booking your tee time that 3 greens are not usable!! Great business move on their part though, just doesn’t seem like they care about the the people. So call ahead before golfing and ask if the 3 holes are still under construction.

The course was in great condition. Several greens were off limits due to reconstruction. Overall enjoyed the round. Finishing holes are challenging.
