Surprised

It been a while since I played this course. Not a fan of courses that play through housing developments. For that reason I have avoided playing here.

Surprised to remember how challenging the course plays. My biggest complaint is the tight OB the houses play.

Pace Of Play - was excellent as it was too cold for normal people.

Course Conditions - Course was in very good shape after steady rain the day before. seems to have drained well. The greens were fast and true.

Staff Friendliness - Staff was thin, and did not interact with them beyond the minimum.

Value For The Money- Relative to the cost of other nearby courses, this was a good value.

Course Layout - This covers the Red/White courses. Never have played the Blue. The highlight is playing the 9th hole of white. Rated as one of the toughest holes in the area.

On Course - Putt, Chip areas, Driving range.

Central snack shop to all 3 9s and bev cart service.

Off-Course Amenities - restaurant/ bar available, but did not stop by.. Full service Bar and Restaurant with banquet facilities.

Great price for a good course

It was like we had a private course. We didn’t have to wait at all. The carts are great with a screen as well a cover for the clubs in the cart.

We will be back again!

Long walks green to tee.

We played the red and white courses for 18 holes total.

The holes are not long, but the distances from the green to the next tee are quite a hike, so be advised you might want a cart. You fo cross several roadways . Our golf now hot deal, was 30 to walk (and we wanted the exercise, (boy did we get it. ) On the courses website it was $35 with a cart. This is a course for the mid to upper level golfer, not for novices.

The fairways on a few holes were dry but playable, the grees were in good shape. There's several ponds and small creeks/ditches on the course , mist don't affect play, but there are two forced carries on the par threes, and 9/18 on white is a drive over water except for the forward tees. With all the water (most of which doesn't come into play) there are several flocks of Canadian geese on the course.

If you walk, plan on 4.5 hours, so don't tee off late in the day.

Good Conditions After Raining

Played in early afternoon after a huge rainstorm. Course drained extremely well and conditions were great, aside from some flooded bunkers. Course played at a decent pace. They did not send out a beverage cart after the storm and closed the halfway house, so could only get drinks from the clubhouse.

Challenging But Fair

The course was in great condition. The greens and fairways are outstanding. The rough is thick, but fair. You get to use every club in the bag on the course. We played Red to White and had a great time and challenge. You will lose a few balls on stray shots in water and hay... Will definitely play again. Great layout and staff was good too.

Did not see a ranger today to keep pace of play. Twosome in front of us were slow considering the time (9am) we started.

Interesting layout

Played the red/white courses, both had some interesting holes and some risk reward holes, some blind tee shots for me since I didn't know the course layout. Green were really bumpy, I had a few balls jump off line because the greens were so beat up. Players really need to learn how to fix a digit correctly, I seen so many digits that were butchered and this just causes more damage to the greens. For the most part I enjoyed my round!

Glad I had a powered golf cart.

Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent conditions. The greens were fast, but showed a lot of wear from unrepaired ball and spike marks, probably mostly caused by neglect from golfers not doing their part to keep the greens in as good a shape as they found them. The sand in several of the bunkers felt hard packed, but you could play out of them. Due to the layout of the course there are a few holes where the distance between green and the next tee is excessively long. I could see about a 5 minute walk between green and tee on a few of them. Glad I had a powered cart. Also for a public course I thought the rough was not cut low enough. Our group lost several golf balls in the rough just off the fairways. It slowed our play down as a result of spending too much time trying to find balls. The staff including the rangers were all friendly. No problem there whatsoever. No GPS in the carts and only some yard markings on the course, including 150 yard posts on all the par 4's and 5s and a few yardages shown on some sprinkler heads. Glad I had a Bushnell GPS device in my pocket. There were at least 4 tee box options so you could play at an overall yardage that would suit your abilities. Other than finding only porta-potties at the turn, the amenities at the clubhouse seemed fine, along with a halfway house for a hot dog or whatever. Not that it matters, but I don't recall seeing a beverage cart come around while we played. Not sure I would want to pay full price to play this course, but for a golfnow hot deal it was fine.
